Scandal Episode 25

As the episode opens, a cop is putting the gun into an evidence bag as a handcuffed Eun Joong is put in the backseat. To give Jang Tae Ha credit he does do his damnest to try and get his son released. Eun Joong says nothing. One of the cops gets back out to try and calm Tae Ha down. Ah, it's important to note the cop explains they have to investigate whenever there is gunfire. There's no mention of "murder" or "dead body."

We finally get back to Myeong Geun. He's stunned but unharmed as he falls to the ground. Ah Mi comes out to check on him. Myeong Geun begs her to go check on Eun Joong instead. Down at the station Eun Joong isn't answering any questions but at least he's giving us a flashback as to what the heck happened in the garden. He shot the tree right next to Myeong Geun. Because yeah, trees are to blame for this whole tragedy.

As Myeong Geun is staring at the bullet in the tree, Tae Ha comes up behind him. Dad #2 swings his cat-headed cane at Dad #1. Myeong Geun dodges just in time as the cat lands on the wood right next to the bullet. Tae Ha digs the bullet out, lording over how much Eun Joong must hate Myeong Geun right now to come so close to shooting him. Now where's his wife?

Tae Ha drags Myeong Geun back to the house where a still fragile Hwa Young is standing on the stoop. She's terrified of her husband but he starts to drag her away. Hwa Young sends a pleading look to Myeong Geun but he just stands there! Myeong Geun, you ass.

But wait! He redeems himself in the next scene. As Tae Ha is buckling Hwa Young up in the car, Myeong Geun pulls his enemy out of the vehicle and lays the smackdown on Tae Ha. With Blondie down on the ground, Myeong Geun jumps into the car and drives off with the other man's wife. Tae Ha calls Kang Ho (I'm assuming) to have the car reported stolen and to have both bitch and bastard found and brought before him.

Eun Joong is released from custody. Still in a daze he stumbles slowly down the street, not noticing Ah Mi is shadowing his every step. Well, she said she'd walk through hell with him and here we are.

Myeong Geun pulls over into an empty field. They need to abandon the car and find a secret place where Hwa Young, still recovering from the drugs, can get some rest. Thank goodness rich people keep loads of cash in their glove compartments. Myeong Geun will use the money to get them a cheap hotel room for the night.

The Walking Dead (AKA Eun Joong) finally comes out of his haze to realize he's stopped in front of a portrait studio where he and the Ha's had theirs done because look, there is their picture in the window. He tells Ah Mi about Myeong Geun's terminal cancer. Eun Joong is so conflicted right now with anger at his kidnapper as well as heartbreak at the thought of losing the only father he's ever known. Eun Joong bursts into the portrait studio, steals the picture and destroys it.

Eun Joong and Ah Mi have just discovered Myeong Geun and Hwa Young have suddenly disappeared. At that moment Eun Joong gets a call from Detective Gu (the one who was macking on lil' sis) alerting them that a warrant has been issued for Myeong Geun's arrest for car theft and kidnapping of Hwa Young. Eun Joong orders Ah Mi to stay at home, lock all the doors, and give Soo Young some kind of story that doesn't involve the truth.

Joon Ran feels the need to tell Tae Ha that she was the one who reported Hwa Young missing and that it was Eun Joong she reported it to. So now Tae Ha knows it was Eun Joong who spirited his mother away and left her in the care of Myeong Geun. Joo Ran thinks loudly to herself how she wants there to be a war between father and son.

Eun Joong comes back to his new home to be greeted by his ex-girlfriend/half-sister. Joo Ha wants to get him fitted for a new suit for her upcoming (and unwanted) wedding. This just makes Eun Joong think about his other not-sister, Soo Young, who is taking this scandal so hard.

Meanwhile Kang Ho, all by his little ol' self, is searching the city for Myeong Geun and Hwa Young. They're holed up in a flea bag hotel. Myeong Geun dares to call Eun Joong to report on how Hwa Young is doing. When he asks for some help, money and clothes and such, Eun Joong cooly replies that Myeong Geun has called the wrong number. Tae Ha comes into the room before Eun Joong can hang up. Dad #2 asks for Eun Joong to call him Father. Dad #1 hears this and his heart breaks to hear Eun Joong call another man dad. Hwa Young offers her son's kidnapper the Shoulder Pat of Comfort.

Tae Ha wants to sleep in the same bed with Eun Joong tonight. (I find this completely awkward at the thought of Eun Joong having to share a bed with the man who tried to kill him.) Tae Ha's cell phone rings and he leaves the room to take the call. Eun Joong takes this opportunity to try and call Myeong Geun back. Tae Ha's call is from Kang Ho. He's found the fugitives at the Prince Hotel.

When Tae Ha comes back into the bedroom, Eun Joong announces he's found out where his mother so get dressed and they'll go get her together. What are you up to, Eun Joong? When they get to the flea bag, Hwa Young is at first glad to see her son but then horrified when Tae Ha walks into the room. To make matters worse, Eun Joong slaps the cuffs on Myeong Geun and arrests his former father for car theft and kidnapping. Tae Ha looks smug. Myeong Geun looks resigned. I sure hope there's a plan somewhere in here.

At the police station Eun Joong stops by the cell to check on Myeong Geun. Dad #1 theorizes aloud that Eun Joong has put him in jail in order to protect him from Tae Ha who now can't reach Myeong Geun. Eun Joong doesn't say anything which is good because Tae Ha is standing just around the corner, eavesdropping.
