Angel Eyes Episode 13

Dong Joo goes down to Dr. Evil's office. He's wanting to ask for the truth about his mother's death but chickens out. Instead, Dong Joo agrees to Dr. Evil's wishes that the young couple move to Boston.

Min Soo has just put up a sign asking for any witnesses to Jung Hwa's accident when she gets a call about Woo Chul being in the hospital. And look, there's Ji Woon. We didn't have to wait forty minutes for him this time. Ji Woon tells her Woo Chul had a brain hemorrhage and they had to operate. While the ex-cop is in a coma now, he should recover. What Ji Woon is worried about is Woo Chul had stopped his cancer treatments before this.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Dr. Oh No! gives Shifty Eyed Cop a chewing out over the phone. She told him to shut Woo Chul up, not kill a man. And now Woo Chul is in her hospital. What is she supposed to do? (Don't you have any more of that poison like you injected into Jung Hwa's I.V.?)

Dong Joo pushes Soo Wan to move to the U.S. with him. She resists as her father, her friends, her job are all here in South Korea.

Ji Woon meets with Choi Jin Sang to ask about the argument between Choi and Dong Joo. Jin Sang lies and says Ji Woon misunderstood the whole conversation about Dr. Evil and murder. Afterwards, Jin Sang goes straight to Dr. Oh No! to tell her about her son asking questions.

Soo Wan and Min Soo meet for girl talk. Soo Wan worries about her BF and why he's been acting so strange lately. Min Soo says it may be because of their re-investigation into Dong Joo's mother's accident. This is all news to Soo Wan that the case was even reopened.

Hye Joo is out hiking when she has a bad fall. (She must have been at Marguerite Falls. People are always falling there.) Our rescue team is called out. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because I've finally found out Extremely Cute Guy's character name is Jin Soo.

Back in town, an ambulance transporting a heart is trying to get through traffic. Once again DramaKorean drivers will not get out of the way of an emergency vehicle. A wreck ensues. Since Teddy is up in the mountains, it is Dong Joo who drives himself and Soo Wan to the sight of the accident. The doctor from the first ambulance hands over the cooler to our couple and urges them to burn rubber.

So they get the heart to the hospital safe and sound. The parents of the heart recipient thank Dong Joo and Soo Wan for the delivery. Dong Joo says the couple should really thank the donor. (Never mind the donor is dead, you should still thank the person.) This gets Soo Wan to thinking of her own donor.

Ji Woon keeps trying to dig around in Jung Hwa's case. Dr. Oh No! tries to warn him away. This just makes Ji Woon suspicious about what his own mother knows about the situation. Caught, Dr. Oh No! has no choice but to tell Ji Woon about Dr. Evil's version of Jung Hwa's death.

Woo Chul is awake but of course he didn't see his attacker. Now that he's laid low it is up to Min Soo to do all the leg work and go back to the car scrap yard.

Ah, two of our three prisoners are able to escape the emergency room! Run! Be free! Don't worry about the one you left behind. Survival of the fittest and all that.

Ji Woon meets with Dong Joo and reveals he knows all about Dr. Evil killing Jun Hwa. Now Ji Woon is the blackmailer as he advises Dong Joo to move to Boston himself and leave Soo Wan behind. Otherwise she may learn the Awful Truth.

Soo Wan and Dong Joo spend some "quality time" together. You may interpret that any way you wish.

When Dong Joo learns about the attack on Woo Chul, he asks both cops to stop their investigation into the hit-and-run. Privately, not only do the detectives decide to disregard Dong Joo's wishes, but Min Soo pulls Soo Wan into the investigation by giving her all files and paperwork they've gotten so far on the case.

Soo Wan is supposed to give the paperwork to Dong Joo, but she wouldn't be a woman if she didn't take a moment to snoop through the stuff herself. And this is how she learns she has Jung Hwa's eyes.

Angel Eyes Episode 12

Dong Joo proposes and Soo Wan accepts. The couple is deliriously happy with each other. You know what that means.

DOOM!

Soo Wan and Teddy are out on an emergency call. She can't figure out what is wrong with the patient and so she calls Dong Joo for medical advice. Soo Wan totally loses her professionalism and has a freak out as the patient gets worse and worse. Dong Joo has to yell at Soo Wan over the phone to calm down and get a hold of herself as he tells Soo Wan what to do. After safely taking care of the patient, Soo Wan goes back to the station to give Dong Joo the Back Hug of Thankfulness.

Detective Cha Min Soo discovers she's suddenly been transferred to the traffic department. All thanks to Shifty Eyed Cop. He continues his campaign of evil by taking Kim Woo Chul out to eat. Shifty Eyed suggests to his old partner a nice, cushy security job at a retirement home up in the mountains. Woo Chul declines as he's currently busy with something. Shifty Eyed slips up and says something about Woo Chul dropping an old hit-and-run case. Woo Chul points out he didn't say anything about a hit-and-run.

(There's stuff going on with Teddy, Hye Joo, Jin Mo and Ki Woon Chan but frankly I find their storyline boring so I'm going to skip them.)

Choi Jin Sang calls Dong Joo and requests a meeting. Jin Sang hands over Jung Hwa's medical records and tells the story of Dr. Evil allowing her to die so Soo Wan could get some new eyes. Dong Joo doesn't want to believe this crazy story but he can't resist checking the records. There's the name of another doctor who assisted in the surgery. Dong Joo contacts him. Luckily this guy has an amazing memory and can remember this one incident from twelve years ago. (I can't remember 12 minutes ago.) This doctor thought it strange Jung Hwa would have been a code blue since her surgery went so well. Also, by the time everyone rushed into Jung Hwa's room, Dr. Evil was already there.

Soo Wan worries about Dong Joo acting strange of late but he won't tell her the reason. She's further mystified when he takes a sudden leave of absence from work.

It's another forty-five minutes into the episode before Ji Woon makes his first appearance. He asks a depressed Soo Wan if she's okay. She says yes. And then he's gone again. (If I was actor Kim Ji Suk, I'd be complaining. Are they writing him out of the show or what?)

Soo Wan finally catches up with Dong Joo, who promptly passes out on her. Somehow teeny tiny Soo Wan gets 6 foot tall Dong Joo back to his apartment.

After teasing Min Soo about her new traffic cop job, Woo Chul talks about the strange timing of it all: her being transferred, him being offered a job far away. They've made somebody somewhere very nervous with the investigation into Jung Hwa's case. Oh dear, and a mysterious photographer is taking pictures of all this.

Woo Chul is trying to ask questions at a car junk yard when he gets a lead pipe to the back of the head.

Dong Joo goes down to the hospital. Ji Woon notices the determined look on his rival's face and decides to follow out of curiosity. Naturally Dong Joo meets with Choi Jin Sang up on the roof. Dong Joo announces he's going to ignore everything Jin Sang said about the past and if the blackmailer was wise he also wouldn't say anything more about it. Jin Sang shouts about how could Dong Joo forget Dr. Evil killed Jung Hwa. He has to shout this so an eavesdropping Ji Woon can hear it.

Angel Eyes Episode 11

As Dr. Oh No! is getting ready to leave for work in the morning she's approached by ex-detective Kim Woo Chul. He wants to ask her about a car her family owned twelve years ago. She acts all cool and gives him the brush off but we know Woo Chul has made her nervous.

Meanwhile Cha Min Soo calls a contact she has in the forensics department. Min Soo has a plastic bag with some paint flecks in it that were taken from Jung Hwa's bicycle at the time of the incident. The contact is surprised the police had this evidence all this time and never asked for it to be analyzed. But never fear: with today's technology the forensics lab will be able to tell what make and model car this paint came from. Min Soo warns her friend to be careful as that's the only evidence they have from the accident.

Dong Joo, Soo Wan and Teddy bring a patient in to the ER so they can have an awkward run in with mopey Ji Woon. (And the medical staff who are never, ever allowed to leave. Somewhere they have families who are wondering whatever happened to them.) As the EMTs are leaving, that creepy Choi Jin Sang greets Soo Wan and reminds her he used to work for Dr. Evil. This is all so Jin Sang can get her to introduce him to her (hugging) partner. After learning Dong Joo's identity, Jin Sang goes back and looks at Jung Hwa's medical records, which show Dong Joo is her son.

Jin Sang remembers back to his meeting with Dr. Oh No! when she re-hired him with one condition. This time we get to hear what she said. She ordered him to become her man (no, not that way, ya perv) and when the time comes, Jin Sang is to reveal the secret he's been using to blackmail Dr. Evil.

Jin Sang is not the only one flashing back. Dong Joo recognized the doctor from the time Jung Hwa was brought in to the hospital.

Back at the ER, Nurse Always-On-Duty notices Ji Woon has made a mistake and ordered the wrong kind of meds for a patient. (I bet that sort of thing happens in Real Life a lot more than we realize. Thank goodness for vigilant nurses.)

Dr. Oh No! has a late night meeting with Shifty Eyed Cop. He tells her about the paint flecks sent to the forensics department and warns the family could ask for a reinvestigation into the hit-and-run. She orders Shifty Eyed (who is Chief of Police) to take care of Woo Chul and Min Soo while she takes care of Dong Joo herself.

Dr. Evil is now trying to get both Dong Joo and Soo Wan to move off to Boston. For one thing because he doesn't want Dong Joo's talent to be wasted here. (How dare Korea have excellent doctors!) And another so neither one of the kids could find out Dr. Evil's deep dark secret concerning Jung Hwa.

Dong Joo had a presentation at the hospital and is now having a chat with Dr. Evil when Choi Jin Sang comes over to greet them. Dong Joo reminds Jin Sang about Jung Hwa's case twelve years ago. Jin Sang acts all, "Oh, so that was you! I thought you looked familiar." Dr. Evil looks concerned.

Soo Wan and Teddy go out on a call to pick up an elderly woman with stomach pains. She refuses to get into the ambulance as it is full of souls from the patients who died enroute. To calm the hysterical lady down, Soo Wan takes the patient by cab. The elderly woman, who may be some kind of shaman or psychic or whatever, says Soo Wan has a dead soul inside of her. Did perchance Soo Wan have a donated organ? This sends chills down Soo Wan's spine. The elderly woman assures the younger woman that the soul is from a good person who continues to watch over and protect Soo Wan.

(This may be a tip of the hat to Master's Sun but since I didn't watch that drama I can't be too sure.)

They make it to the emergency room and forty minutes in Ji Woon gets his first line ("Here.") of the episode. Even the Three ER Prisoners have gotten more lines today.

Free The Three!

Dr. Oh No! goes to Ji Woon's apartment to fuss at him for not being the perfect son. She tells him to get over Soo Wan because the girl is going to marry Dong Joo and move to Boston. A depressed Ji Woon is now even more depressed.

Min Soo gets the forensics report back on the car paint. Shifty Eyed Cop calls Dr. Oh No! about it. Crisis Mode Activated. Dr. Oh No! tells Jin Sang it is time. He's to tell his story to...

Park Dong Joo.

Dong Joo has just bought a new car and is taking Song Wan out for a romantic date. They stop at the empty observatory where Dong Joo has set up a fire hazard of candles. First he gives Soo Wan all the birthday gifts he never got to give her for the past twelve years. Then, with his beloved mother's ring in hand, Dong Joo gets down on one knee and pops the question.

Angel Eyes Episode 10

While Dong Joo is washing the dishes, Soo Wan goes into his bedroom. She's planning on leaving their antique Ipod in his desk. When she opens the drawer she finds all the letters he had mailed to her from America that were returned unread. Dong Joo tries to take the letters back but Soo Wan insists they're all addressed to her so she's going to read them all. Dong Joo brings up that she never tried to write to him. This is when she learns that Dong Joo had left his address with her twelve years ago but she never got the note. Dong Joo starts to suspect Dr. Evil had a hand it that.

Dr. Oh No! is in her office looking over the material her secret informant has dug up on Dong Joo and his family. This leads to a flashback where we the audience see it was Dr. Oh No! herself who had injected the poison into the unconscious Jung Hwa's IV.

Dr. Oh No! goes to Ji Woon's apartment. Before he can even tell her about being dumped, it is his mother who tells Ji Woon to dump Soo Wan.

Dr. Oh No! is a busy woman. The next day she has former doctor/current blackmailer Choi Jin Sang come to her office. She offers him a job at the pharmacy (despite his history of pill popping) but on one condition... which we don't get to hear.

Finally, Dr. Oh No! gets a phone call from her mysterious contact. This time, though, we get to see who is on the other end. Ah, it's Shifty Eyed Cop.

Kim Woo Chul and Cha Min Soo get together to go over what they've found on the hit-and-run case so far. Woo Chul is getting quite frustrated at the lack of advancement. Min Soo asks why they simply don't get more help from the police department. Woo Chul quickly squashes that idea. This case has been fishy from the beginning. He advises Min Soo not to tell anyone at the department what she's working on.

It's been awhile since the show has been to the empty observatory. Time to rectify that as Dong Joo and Soo Wan have a date to watch the meteor shower. (Is this an inside joke? I mean, Koo Hye Sun was in Boys Over Flowers and the Chinese version is called Let's Watch The Meteor Shower. Coincidence? Eh, maybe.)

Hye Joo starts her first day of babysitting Jin Mo. Woon Chan frets.

It's been awhile since the show had a really awkward dinner scene. Time to rectify that as Soo Wan, Ji Woon, and their respective parents all get together to be stiff and uncomfortable. Dr. Oh No! is wanting everyone (this means you, Ji Woon) to accept that the engagement is off.

Teddy and Woon Chan come home to a mess.

Shocked to learn Choi Jin Sang has been hired on at the hospital, Dr. Evil goes to ask Dr. Oh No! if she's out of her ever-lovin' mind. She claims it is so they can keep a better eye on the blackmailer. You know, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Yep they're still on duty.
Dong Joo and Soo Wan go on another shopping date. I thought it was going to be the required Kdrama makeover scene but no, she's still wearing those ugly shoes.

She comes home with a present for her father. Soo Wan goes to leave the gift on Dr. Evil's desk in the study which is where she finds the missing note Dong Joo left her twelve years ago, the one with his aunt's address in America. Caught, Dr. Evil lies and says he kept the note from Soo Wan to lessen the pain she would have from never seeing Dong Joo again. Soo Wan rightfully doesn't buy it. Why was it okay for Dr. Evil to see Dong Joo all this time and not okay for her?

Soo Wan goes to cry on Dong Joo's broad shoulders. He's enough of a boy scout to call Dr. Evil to let Dad know where Soo Wan is. She'll be spending the night but sleeping with Hye Joo, so no hanky panky to worry about. The next day Dong Joo works on mending the bridges between Soo Wan and Dr. Evil.

After a river of tears is shed, Dr. Evil finally relents and gives his permission for Dong Joo and Soo Wan to date. Dong Joo goes to the hospital to give Soo Wan the good news. And who is this watching the happy couple? It's blackmailing pill popper Choi Jin Sang.

Angel Eyes Episode 9

A devastated Ji Woon leaves his umbrella behind (not that he was even using it) and wanders aimlessly through the rain. Dong Joo and Soo Wan go inside the fire station to dry off. (Why does it look like no one is on duty? Fires happen at night as well, ya know.) Soo Wan admits she feels bad about screwing Ji Woon over, but she's also glad that she has her Dong Joo back. Dong Joo also feels bad about how they're inadvertently hurting other people. Still, he has no plans of giving her up.

Ji Woon returns home and like all good Koreans he gets in a hot shower to brood.

The next morning Dr. Oh No! makes another mysterious phone call, asking the person on the other end to investigate Dylan Park/Park Dong Joo.

To allow Soo Wan to sleep in late, Dong Joo takes her place with Teddy on an emergency call. They take a young girl in to the ER. Falling into old habits, Dong Joo starts spouting off orders to the two doctors who are always, always, always there. A frosty Ji Woon interrupts to remind Dong Joo that he is no longer the head of this department. The temperature continues to drop even though Ji Woon asks his bromantic partner to join him after work for some drinks.

The two men meet up in a smoky bar as a lone saxophone fills the night air. Geesh, you'd think they were a couple of hardboiled L.A. detectives from the Fifties. Anyway, Ji Woon comes right out and asks if Dong Joo is Soo Wan's first love. Dong Joo doesn't deny it. Ji Woon accurately points out that during those 12 years when Dong Joo didn't have any contact with her it was Ji Woon who was by Soo Wan's side. Dong Joo won't give her up. Ji Woon punches him and declares he also won't give her up.

Now it's Dong Joo's turn to get in a hot shower and brood.

Little sister Hye Joo plans to start looking for some part time work. Conveniently, the nanny watching over Jin Mo has quit and Fire Chief Ki Woon Chan is looking for a quick hire.

Remember that guy from a couple of episodes ago who was threatening to jump from a building? Well, he's back. Just as Soo Wan and Woon Chan are about to talk him down off the ledge, a strong gust of wind knocks the guy over the side. The rescue workers attempt to grab him which just ends up with all three of them falling over the side of the building. Don't worry, there was a huge air bag down on the ground to catch them.

Dong Joo rushes to the hospital where everyone was taken. Elsewhere in the hospital, Ji Woon learns about his lady love being brought in and he also starts running. The two men run into each other in the hallway. They both argue over who gets to go to her first. Soo Wan, who only needed a little Band-Aid on her forehead, comes out and asks Dong Joo to check on the jumper while she has a word with Ji Woon.

Soo Wan once again reminds Ji Woon that she is the dumper and he is the dumpee. She's going to tell her father the engagement is over and Ji Woon should tell his mother the same thing. Once again Ji Woon refuses to face reality.

Cha Min Soo and Kim Woo Chul get together to eat a big bowl of I-don't-know-what and go over the list of foreign car owners from twelve years ago. Min Soo sees the name Kim In Tae on the list and it rings a bell. He would be Dr. Oh No!'s husband, Ji Woon's father. (He must be invisible as Ji Woon's dad hasn't been seen at all so far in the show.)

Soo Wan and her father, Dr. Evil, fight over her breaking the engagement. Dr. Evil threatens to disown her if she continues to love Dong Joo.

Soo Wan and Dong Joo have a date at a Wal Mart Supercenter. They return to his apartment where Soo Wan starts to cook dinner. She's playing one of Jung Hwa's recipe tapes. Hearing his late mother's voice makes Dong Joo get all emotional. Looks like he needs some comforting, Soo Wan.

Angel Eyes Episode 8

You wouldn't believe the trouble I had to go through just to get this episode to play.

So where were we before everything crapped out? Oh yeah, Dong Joo and Soo Wan were acting all unprofessional at work when Ji Woon stops by. He doesn't see the couple back hugging when he arrives and calls Soo Wan on her cell phone to ask where she's at.

Once again Ji Woon absolutely refuses to believe he's been dumped. He graciously tells Soo Wan he'll wait for her while she goes and finishes up that business with her first love.

Back at the hospital, Dr. Oh No! reminds Ji Woon that he must be the absolute best at everything he does, so she will appear to be the absolute best at producing the absolute best son. No pressure - just walk on water or something.

Dong Joo rides with Soo Wan and Teddy out on an emergency call. During soccer practice a player has collapsed. Big medical words are thrown around. About all I catch of it is the unconscious guy has a problem with his lungs. Needles are involved which means I'm not involved. In conclusion, Dong Joo does his voodoo and is able to stabilize the soccer player enough to be transported to the ER.

Yep, them same two doctors are still on duty. They're never off. They live at the hospital and never sleep. Once they see "Dylan Park" is back working for the EMT, the ER staff quickly abandons their patients to surround the doctor and express their joy.

Ji Woon tries to kickstart their bromance back up. Dylan tells Ji Woon to start calling him Dong Joo. Just as Dong Joo is about to explain his story, Ji Woon is called away to an emergency.

That evening Dong Joo drops by Detective Kim Woo Chul's apartment with another big bowl of stew. Over dinner Woo Chul tells the doctor how he and Cha Min Soo are reinvestigating Dong Joo's mother's case.

Another work day at the fire station. Dong Joo is surprised by a visit from Ellie/Hye Joo, who has just arrived from America. Teddy has already got the hots for little sister.

During a conversation with his not-to-be father-in-law, Ji Woon lets the cat out of the bag that Dong Joo is now working with Soo Wan. Dr. Evil is not pleased, especially after Ji Woon confesses that things are a tad rocky right now between the (un)engaged couple. Dr. Evil later calls Dong Joo and gives a gruff invite to dinner tomorrow night at his place.

[Remember, kids: never eat with evil people.]

Sure enough, Dong Joo arrives for dinner to find that Ji Woon has also been invited. We the Viewers have to endure yet another awkward dinner scene, something this show is getting good at. Dr. Evil introduces Dong Joo as his son and tells Soo Wan to think of the young doctor as her brother. This is very important in Korean culture where you don't have to be genetically related to someone for it to be considered incest. See: A Hundred Year's Inheritance.

Ji Woon's heart is put at ease now that he thinks his bro, Dong Joo, isn't a rival. This means Ji Woon once again bugs Soo Wan into meeting him for dinner. (In his defense, Soo Wan needs to stop leading him on. When you break up with someone, don't answer their calls and don't have dinner with them.)

While Ji Woon and Soo Wan are out at the restaurant, Dr. Evil is once again begging Dong Joo to not be with his daughter. Dong Joo asks the very valid question of what does Dr. Evil have against him? Why is he not good enough for Soo Wan? Dr. Evil doesn't answer and simply storms out.

Confused about the whole situation, Dr. Evil turns to Dr. Oh No! for confession. He tells her about the evil deed he did back in the day, allowing Jung Hwa to die (even though she was really dying from whatever was injected into her I.V. by Mystery Man.)

After the dinner, Soo Wan leaves Ji Woon behind. They both start walking in the rain as they think back to the beginning of their relationship. Also walking in the rain is Dong Joo, thinking back to his relationship with Dr. Evil. Soo Wan and Dong Joo meet up in front of the fire house. Seeing that the dinner date didn't go well, Dong Joo pulls Soo Wan into his arms for a comforting hug. Neither see a shocked Ji Woon standing at the corner watching them.

Angel Eyes Episode 7

Despite their hugging reunion in the last episode, Dong Joo is still intent on leaving for America. Soo Wan keeps crying out, "Don't go!" as he walks to his terminal. A heartbroken Soo Wan returns to the fire house to waste gallons of water.

Blackmailer Choi Jin Sang is just now leaving Doctor Evil's office when he passes by Dr. Oh No! After a moment of hesitation, she goes in to ask Doc Evil if that was Doctor Choi, the guy she had to fire from the hospital several years ago. Doc Evil denies everything.

Soo Wan is in the ambulance transporting an unconscious man. She's about to insert an I.V. when the man's bitchy wife stops Soo Wan. Bitch Wife doesn't think a mere medic knows what she's doing. The man makes it to the ER where those same two doctors are always working. Do they never get a day off? Still, at least they stick to their posts. Unlike Dong Joo who was always wandering off.

Kim Woo Chul is looking through his old police files and thinking back to the time he was still working on Yoo Jung Hwa's case. He had found some potential leads concerning the tire marks left behind at the scene of the accident. That's when Internal Affairs came down and busted him before Woo Chul could get any further.

He decides to turn over all his work to Cha Min Soo so she can continue the investigation. But uh-oh, they're being watched by Shifty-Eyed Cop.

Dr. Oh No! and Ji Woon stop by Soo Wan's house. Oh No! wants to hurry things up between the young couple and throw an engagement party. A dejected Soo Wan just goes along with what everybody else wants. (Ji Woon doesn't notice his fiancée is still wearing the whistle necklace and not his star necklace.)

At the fire station, Teddy has some bonding time with his chief's son, Jin Mo. The little boy wants Teddy to call America and have 911 go check on his (dead) mom. Teddy chooses to aid and abet Ki Woon Chan's unhealthy lie that Mom is still alive and in the U.S.

After a great deal of moping, Soo Wan at least has an honest conversation with Ji Woon. She confesses that she's still in love with her old boyfriend. Ji Woon pleads for a chance to win her heart but Soo Wan stays firm. She returns his star necklace, effectively breaking off their engagement.

She goes off to the (still empty) observatory for even more moping and crying. Suddenly a man's hand reaches out to wipe away her tears. It's Dong Joo. This better not be a hallucination! He announces he's back in Korea for good and is done with running away. Doctor Evil is so unhappy that Dong Joo is back that he breaks off their father/son relationship status.

Ji Woon doesn't have the balls to tell his mother he's been dumped. Instead he spins the tale that he and Soo Wan don't want to rush into marriage.

Teddy moves in with Woon Chan and Jin Mo. The young man finds himself taking on the role of housewife.

Doctor Oh No! makes a mysterious phone call to someone, ordering them to investigate Choi Jin Sang and his possible relationship with Doctor Evil.

Ji Woon stops by the fire station and asks Soo Wan nicely for some time to talk. He takes her out to a large house next to a lake. When she asks where they're at, Ji Woon explains this is the house they're going to live in when they get married. He plans to make swings for the kids they're going to have. (Ji Woon, there's optimistic and then there's creepy. Learn the difference. P.S., that's a nice house. I'll marry you.) Soo Wan has to remind him that he's been thoroughly dumped.

Back at her own house, Soo Wan thinks back to the early days. She had been transporting a troublesome patient who thought she had stolen his wallet. When the crazy guy was about to hit Soo Wan, Ji Woon swoops in and serves a knuckle sandwich instead. Everyone gets a free trip to the police station.

The next day Soo Wan and Teddy are answering a call. A man is experiencing chest pains. Soo Wan wants to administer some nitroglycerin but first she calls a doctor for consultation. The doctor advises she find out if the patient had taken any other medication earlier. As in Viagra.

Once they get the man to the ER, Dr. Suh (one of the doctors that is always on duty) congratulates Soo Wan on not giving the man nitroglycerin as it would have mixed horribly with the Viagra. Soo Wan wonders if the doctor she spoke with on the phone was Dong Joo.

Back at the station Soo Wan is packing up her equipment when Dong Joo drops by wearing a suit and dimples.

Soo Wan tells him it would be better if he left since she's on duty. At that moment there's an announcement over the P.A. system calling for everyone to gather for an important meeting. The small fire station crew is informed there will be a new addition to their life saving family. A doctor who has come all the way from American to work with them.

Gee, I wonder who it could be?
