God of the Workplace Episode 1

The story begins a few years back during the winter of 2007. Jung Joo Ri (played by Jung Yoo Mi of I Need Romance 2012) is out with her boyfriend enjoying the performance of a choir performing Christmas carols. Joo Ri is delightfully surprised when her boyfriend chooses this moment to offer her a ring. She immediately accepts. Aww. Peace on Earth, goodwill to

BLAM!

A nearby building explodes in an inferno. Is this an accident? A terrorist attack? I can't tell for now. Joo Ri and her boyfriend are alright but the camera has been knocked into slo-mo mode. She watches as other people are screaming and running for cover when her attention is caught by the form of a high-heeled woman running towards the destroyed building. The woman tries to get closer to the fire but the police keep her back.

The Great Omniscient Voiceover gives us a quick explanation of "contract workers" ('round here we call them "temps") as we're whisked not only back to the present but all the way around the world to Spain. To an arena simply chocked full of random white guys. They're here to watch a female Korean matador do her stuff. This is our mysterious Miss Kim (played by Kim Hye Soo.) After her successful bullfight, Miss Kim receives a simple text saying the time is right for her to return home.

I didn't realize bullfighting was popular in Korea.

Back in Korea we the audience are taken to a hostile business meeting as different sides of the table try to place the blame on the other for their latest product not selling well. On the marketing side is Moo Jung Han (played by Lee Hee Joon of Jeon Woo Chi.) At the head of the table is Department Head Hwang Gab Deuk (played by Kim Eung Soo, an actor who is quickly approaching the rank of Old Man Who Is In Absolutely Everything.) He announces he knows just the person they need in order to sell their low-sodium soy sauce. And that person is...

Incredibly Bad Hair Man, also known as Jang Kyu Jik (played by Oh Ji Ho.)

Bad Hair-- I mean, Kyu Jik is on a plane flying in from the States. He sneaks upstairs to first class hoping to pitch his sales to someone. He slips into a first class seat like he owns it, oohing and ahhing over the real wood and expensive wine, when the real person who's supposed to be in the seat shows up. And that person is...

Incredibly Bad Hair Woman.

OMG, what is she wearing? OMG. If only I could show...  OMG. My eyes. My brain.

Bad Hair Wo-- I mean, Our Miss Kim orders Kyu Jik (in better English than his) to get out of her seat. He can do nothing but slink off. As he pops some first class food into his mouth the plane experiences severe turbulence. Kyu Jik is knocked around, causing the food in his mouth to get lodged in his throat. He's choking! Thank goodness Our Miss Kim noticed his dilemma. She grabs his necktie to pull him up so she can punch him in the stomach and force the obstruction up and out. (Don't try this at home, kids.)

Kyu Jik at least tries to thank her but the attendant just now notices someone is in first class who shouldn't be and is asking him to leave. Before he's pushed out entirely Kyu Jik asks for his savior's name. With a cool look back at him she simply replies, "Kim. Miss Kim." Kyu Jik is instantly smitten, and the cameraman is kind of wobbly.

Joo Ri is getting dressed to go for an interview. She's desperate to get a job so she can put an end to all those annoying calls asking when is she going to pay back her student loan. Her interview is with Ahn Jong Chul (played by Oh Yong, who is apparently trying to give Incredibly Bad Hair Man a run for his money), who is head of a temporary service.

Kyu Jik has arrived at the home office and is working his schmoozing powers all over Gab Deuk. There's at least one person in the department who isn't falling for all this bullshit and that's old man Go Jung Do. Jung Han (whose haircut really isn't that much better but at least it's combed) gives a warm welcome back to Kyu Jik, even though this means Jung Han has lost his team leader position to the other man. Jung Do declares this as also bullshit. Tell it like it is, Jung Do!

Kyu Jik and Jung Han are working together holding interviews. The next person in is Jung Joo Ri. Kyu Jik, who seems to get instantly smitten quite easily, blurts out his first question: do you have a boyfriend? Joo Ri admits she just recently broke up with someone. Aww, what went wrong? Was it because of the building blowing up?

Jung Han brings them back to the matter at hand. This is an odd interview as they end up talking about being fermented soy beans. Whatever, she gets the temporary position. Afterwards Jung Han teases his friend that the only reason Kyu Jik hired Joo Ri is because of her looks. Kyu Jik replies that although Joo Ri is pretty, he's not looking for a temp worker. His ideal woman flies first class, dresses like a bag lady, drinks expensive wine and punches him when he needs it. She's somewhere out there in Seoul and he intends to find her.

Somewhere in Seoul-- wow, look at that traffic-- Incredibly Bad Hair Woman is in deep thought in a Bohemian attic apartment. She gets up-- wow, what is she wearing now?-- to blow the dust off of a long disused briefcase. She takes out a Swiss army knife and starts lopping off her incredibly bad hair as Superman's theme music plays. Um, scissors would do a better job, Miss Kim.

As Superman music still plays, Joo Ri is heading in for her first day on the job when a sudden wind gust blows a nearby woman's scarf up in the air. The scarf is blowing away when another hand reaches up to grab it. The crowd of office workers part like the Red Sea to reveal Our Miss Kim. You may have cut off your hair, Miss Kim, but it's still incredibly bad. With the morning sun backlighting her, Our Miss Kim nonchalantly returns to the scarf to its owner. Joo Ri (come to think of it she does kind of resemble Margot Kidder if you squint your eyes and turn your head) looks on in awe.

Jung Han is telling Kyu Jik they have to interview and hire one more worker when he says, "Ah, here she comes." Kyu Jik looks and sees Our Miss Kim walking in accompanied by Ahn Jong Chul (hallelujah, he's discovered what a hairbrush is for!) Even though her hair is cut and she's wearing dressed down black, he recognizes her as his savior from the plane. Kyu Jik thinks she's some kind of mover and shaker here to sign a big deal with the company only to learn she's another temp worker.

Kyu Jik asks a few interview questions but Our Miss Kim says nothing except she'll be the one in charge of the coffee from now on. Jong Chul hands them a Miss Kim User Manual. By golly next time I go to a job interview I'm gonna have me a user manual. Kyu Jik starts to complain but Jong Chul explains their boss, Gab Deuk, has already authorized her hiring. She's in whether they like it or not.

Time to get to work. Jung Han has his team of Joo Ri, Jung Do, and Our Miss Kim. They've had to set up their work area in a little used room and Jung Han gets choked on the dust. He goes to sit down and the office chair falls apart, dumping him in the floor. Miss Kim declares "This is my job." She pulls out her trusty Swiss army knife and fixes the chair. Curious, Jung Han looks in the Miss Kim User Manual and sure enough there it is - repairing broken office furniture and equipment.

When I have my user manual that's not going to be in it.

It's lunch time. Joo Ri first asks to have lunch with Our Miss Kim.

So that leaves her eating with the gossipy girls from the office. Joo Ri learns how they all think Kyu Jik worships the business while Jung Han has no backbone.

Back at work. Our Miss Kim is typing away like mad. I bet if you looked at her screen it would say

oiu34t-vuy [pe ]9q37t 08h23[5ojh[pv3 6bib54pojdfgjpo[ skagkbi6u93j6oiej g[0irt j43j[0v2 btpqe

Kyu Jik, hoping to assert his authority over her, brings over a huge stack of papers and orders her to organize them on Excel by tomorrow. Miss Kim loudly says to Jung Han that this here "Cabbage Patch Head" is NOT her boss. Please refer to the user's manual. Jung Han has to drag out the enraged cabbage patch-- er, Kyu Jik. Miss Kim returns to her typing.

kljfkl;andfv jpiohgjwo hfgWPJR'EJ ;JDOJNljnlk'nonbrjty e'g'jbjmdfklsdksngw fl;sfdoljhs ;'lkpgojse

This leaves the big pile of papers to Joo Ri to get organized. Jung Man attempts to be a boss and starts to ask Miss Kim to help the other girl out.

See above meme.

Now its time for the required musical interlude to show us Joo Ri working all alone into the night in an effort to prove her worthiness and hopefully be hired on full time. She gets it all done by 5 in the morning and saves it to a flashdrive that is attached to that friggin' Pororo penguin figurine. With only a few hours sleep, Joo Ri takes a cab to work and proudly announces to her boss that she got the work done.

Pororo lies on the backseat of the cab which is driving away.

Everyone is in crisis mode. Everyone but Miss Kim. They catch a break when the cab company calls back. The car has been found but it's being taken to a car wash. It takes five people to go to the car wash only to learn the guy who found the penguin gave it to another guy. He gave it to another guy. He gave it to another guy. He gave it to another guy who works at some kind of... I don't know where he works but he's got a hardhat on and he's up on the roof of some contraption. (BTW, all these men passing the penguin around are listed as cameos so they must be famous in Korea but I have no idea who they are.)

The fivers down below yell up to him about the penguin USB. He has it and throws it down to them. Only it goes way over their heads and lands on the steep side of a hill of sand. Joo Ri desperately starts scrambling up the slippery slope. Jung Han tries to follow but he just rolls back down. The hill is too dangerous and tricky so Joo Ri comes back down. She's worried about losing her job. They all could be losing their jobs as it looks like the important meeting must be canceled.

What's that rumbling sound? It's Our Miss Kim driving a front end loader. Miss Kim gets shit done! Now why didn't any of you think of this?

Miss Kim doesn't come cheap and charges Joo Ri $900 for saving her ass.

Since the meeting was so successful, Gab Deuk takes Jung Han and Kyu Jik out to a bar. Kim Eung Soo, you've got moves! Jung Han wants to talk about Miss Kim which makes Kyu Jik jealous. Suddenly the lights dim and a man and woman in silhouette come out and do a hot tango. When the lights come back on it's no surprise to us but it is to the guys - the female dancer is Our Miss Kim and her hair's not so bad.

Joo Ri is walking along the streets when she looks up and realizes she's back at the place where the explosion happened back in 2007. She goes home to look up more info on the incident. Ah, it was a bank that was blown up and one female contract employee was killed. This time when the flashback is played, we the audience can see the face of the woman running towards the fire. Our Miss Kim.

A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 34

EMIL at least apologizes to the parents for losing her cool and smacking their kid upside his head before she and Joo Ri leave. Clingy Mom starts ripping Chae Won a new one for even showing up at this dinner. A-ha, I was right. Se Yoon did lie to Chae Won in order to get her to come with him in the first place. Dad, his birthday dinner a complete fail, leaves in disgust. Chae Won just silently cries when what she really should be doing is taking a cue from her former mother-in-law and knocking Se Yoon upside the head for lying to her and putting her through this.

In order to avoid another ravishing from his wife, Chul Goo makes up a bed in the library. Hong Joo cries. You know I think this is the first time I've seen her cry on the show. The first time she's ever shown her vulnerability.

Hong Joo and the prison matron have been trying to hide something from EMIL but its splashed all over the papers today: Sour Puss has divorced her ultra rich husband. EMIL goes upstairs to confront her DIL about this news. Hong Joo replies with, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!"

Seriously, that's what she said.

Bright happy music plays as Chae Won begins her first day learning the noodle business. A large trash can of flowers are delivered to her with a congratulatory message from Se Yoon. She calls him at work to thank him. Joo Ri overhears Se Yoon's flirty banter with Chae Won. Are you beginning to realize, Joo Ri, that he never talked to you like that?

There's a bunch of stuff about noodles.

EMIL gossips with the matchmaker and only now does she learn that Hong Joo was the result of an affair and is no blood relation to the rich part of her family. EMIL physically attacks the matchmaker for false advertising (in a sense). Now she's stuck with a crazy daughter-in-law who won't be any help in building a home shopping empire.

Chae Won's Dad is surprised to get a visit from Clingy Mom. She's here to politely tell him how his daughter is not worthy of her son.

An angry EMIL comes home to yell at Hong Joo (and Coco) about conning her family. Hong Joo argues back that EMIL should have done her homework more thoroughly before selling off her son. She's got a point there, EMIL.

Se Yoon has come to pick up Chae Won but he's stopped at the door by her Dad. The men go off for some alcohol so they can talk. Dad tells Se Yoon about the meeting with Clingy Mom earlier. It's history repeating itself as Dad compares today's meeting with the same kind of talk he had with EMIL back when Chae Won was going to marry Chul Goo. Dad doesn't want his daughter to go through such heartbreak again so he asks Se Yoon to end things now. Se Yoon tells the Dead Girlfriend story and why his determination is so much stronger because of it. He's not giving up on Chae Won.

Chul Goo is pining for Chae Won. Joo Ri is pining for Se Yoon. Their crazy mother gets it into her head that the only solution is to somehow get Chae Won back together with Chul Goo, thus freeing up Se Yoon for Joo Ri. Yeah, that's so gonna happen.

Chae Won is in the factory making noodles (and wearing no hair net!) when the last person she ever expected walks in: her ex mother-in-law. Eugene does that eye widening thing to convey shock and awe. With crocodile tears in her eyes, EMIL throws her arms around Chae Won as she apologizes for all the wrongs she's done to the young woman over the years. Can Chae Won ever forgive her?

Darna Episodes 32 - 33

The story so far: Darna drops Tree Woman down into an active volcano and regains her powers of invincibility, thus she thinks her adversary is dead. But Tree Woman is alive. The lava simply burned off her bark and green lipstick. Now she looks human and goes by the name of Lucy. Miss Perfecta, leaping over logic entirely, thinks Lucy may be Consuelo's long lost daughter and takes the young woman back to the orphanage with her. The Imp has been revived! Probably because the writers realized what a washout Tree Woman is when it comes to being a villain so they brought back one they knew would do the job. Impy joins up with his niece, Serpina, who hides him out at the orphanage. At this point everyone is going to end up at the orphanage. Word is Valentina is dead but she's really being held captive in Dr. Morgan's lab. We have a new character with a familiar face. Cage match fighter Zandro has returned to San Martin in search of his roots. Those roots lead to his father, Cobra Commander. (Both are played by the same actor.)

Narda is just about to stumble upon Impy when she's distracted by the sound of fighting between Lucy and Consuelo.

Lucy is needing the blood of victims in order to get back her bark so she sends out her flower disciples to gather some.

Narda and Eduardo are out at the park trying to have a nice picnic together when they hear screaming. Eduardo runs to investigate and sees the flower disciples attacking people. Narda goes off to transform and is almost seen by Eduardo. Ya gotta be more careful than that, Narda.

Darna flies in to battle the disciples. Using her super speed, she plucks off all their flowers which makes them weak. They revert back to plant form.

An enraged Valentina breaks out of the lab. With her snakes covered up, Valentina is still recognized by people as a legendary healer and they all demand help. She orders everyone to meet tonight at the church where she will heal them all.

Zandro starts getting snake skin on his back.

Eduardo wants to introduce Narda to his father so they're having dinner tonight. He sends Watson to the orphanage to pick her up. As they're driving along, the radio reports people are trapped inside a burning vehicle. Narda has Watson pull over so she can hobble to the rescue. This of course makes her late for the dinner. Eduardo, who had been planning on asking Narda to marry him, is very disappointed in her.

Grandma Loleng, who didn't know Valentina was supposedly dead, hears the healer will be at the church. Loleng takes Consuelo there in hopes her daughter can be cured by Valentina. Valentina is counting on her "patients" to accept her for who she is and reveals her snake hair. Naturally everybody freaks out and wants to kill her. Only Grandma Loleng comes to Valentina's defense.

When Narda finally makes it to the restaurant, Eduardo keeps asking her where she's been, what was so important that she couldn't make it to the dinner on time. Narda hates having to lie to him and is close to telling Eduardo about her secret identity when Watson comes running in with the news about Valentina being alive and at the church. Eduardo calls his father to ask why he lied about her being dead so at least the mad scientist now knows where Valentina is.

Since no one will accept and love her, Valentina unleashes very slow moving snakes on the crowd. Ooh, and now she's getting snake eyes.

In the chaos of the attack, Consuelo is separated from her mother and is confronted by Valentina. The shock causes her memory to come back to her. Valentina makes her mother fall over the side of a building. Lucky for Consuelo, Darna comes flying up to catch her. She's reunited with Loleng but because she fears what people will think if they know she's Valentina's mother, Consuelo doesn't let on that she's regained her memory.

Darna tries to talk Valentina into turning away from the Dark Side. It doesn't work so the two women proceed to fight. Seeing that she can't defeat Darna directly, Valentina picks up a great big paper mache rock and throws it at some people. As Darna flies to catch the boulder, Dr. Morgan and Apollo have to opportunity to shoot Valentina with a dart gun. It has no effect except to piss Valentina off even more.

She tosses Dr. Morgan around some and is about to kill him when Eduardo slams a long metal spike through her chest. Whoa! Cobra Commander can feel her injuries and orders his reptiles to go fetch Valentina back to Snake Mountain. He tries to heal his daughter but her heart is too injured and she's fading fast. Cobra summons Serpina to the cave to help out her sister. Valentina needs a heart transplant but it needs to be a heart from one of their own, a Reptilio. But before they can get to that, Cobra Commander wants revenge on Eduardo.

Gabriel drops by the orphanage for a cameo. Eduardo comes driving up to pick Narda up for a date. Suddenly the earth begins to quake and Cobra Commander erupts from the ground. Eduardo gets his gun out of the car. Narda can't transform because there are too many people around. Cobra wraps Eduardo up in his tail and carries the human away.

Serpina gets Impy involved by promising he can eat Eduardo's heart. Cobra is slowly squeezing Eduardo to death. Eduardo is able to use his gun to get free of the snake's coils. Finally Narda has been able to transform into Darna and come to Eduardo's rescue. She picks Cobra up by his tail and swings him around and around until she impales him on yet another convenient long metal spike. They must have long metal spikes all over the Philippines for just such emergencies.

Cobra is able to get away from Darna but he's still dying. Serpina and Impy find her mortally wounded father and Cobra gives her his last instructions.

A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 33

Clingy Mom just stands there as the dying nun calls her a thief and orders her to leave immediately. Choon Hee tries to write it off as the sickly woman being confused but the nun makes it clear she knows exactly who Clingy Mom is and she's EVIL

Outside in the rain, Clingy Mom jumps all over Choon Hee for lying about going to America. Smart Gal shoots back at Clingy Mom with her own questions: why is she so upset about Choon Hee being in Korea anyway? Is she hiding something? What was that business with the nun saying Clingy Mom was a thief? Clingy Mom doesn't care to answer any of these questions.

Se Yoon returns Chae Won to the noodle house. He plans to act like her resignation letter never was so she still has her job. He warns her they have to stick together and be strong to overcome Clingy Mom. Chae Won starts slipping into her "I'm not worthy of you" state of mind. Se Yoon quickly puts a halt to this.

While they're still standing outside, Choon Hee and Dad arrive after her bedside vigil beside the dying nun. Choon Hee tells the young couple where she's been and why. She starts to say something to Se Yoon but then stops herself. She invites him in for tea only to have Dad say it's too late at night for tea, Se Yoon needs to go. No ambivalence about how Dad feels about this relationship.

Clingy Mom is on the edge of cracking under all the pressure.

Chul Goo is in the dining room, drinking as always. Now he's wearing his Lego Superman pin. EMIL helps her son up to his bedroom. (I just noticed the wallpaper in his bedroom is the same wallpaper that was in the nun's room at the orphanage.) Chul Goo's beer goggles are so thick he mistakes Hong Joo for Chae Won. Ya know, if Hong Joo were smart she would use this drunken mistake to take advantage of Chul Goo and finally get some from her husband.

The real Chae Won is in deep thought when she gets a phone call from Se Yoon. He's calling for some late night flirting. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Chul Goo wakes up the next day to find Hong Joo all snuggled up with him. Also, he be naked! So maybe she did take advantage of his drunk ass.

Chae Won is getting breakfast ready for the family when she gets a phone call from Se Yoon. He's calling for some early morning flirting. Let's not go overboard, Se Yoon. Chae Won's disapproving Dad stops disapproving long enough to worry over Grandpa's color not being good. Yep, won't be long before beloved Grandpa is in the grave.

Dad heads off to work and is unpleasantly surprised to find Se Yoon there. Se Yoon knows Dad doesn't like him seeing Chae Won and is striving to win Dad's approval.

Joo Ri is in the process of being discharged from the hospital when Clingy Mom drops by for a visit. (The actress playing EMIL has lost an earring during the course of the scene but they just keep on filming.) Clingy Mom has come to bring the good news that Chae Won is quitting the company.  Clingy Mom announces she was planning to go see Chae Won's family. EMIL warns her not to go as them bitches be crazy at the noodle house, especially Chae Won's new mother.

Only in DramaLand can an unauthorized, inexperienced person come in off the street and work on a construction site. That person being Se Yoon. He has absolutely no idea what he's doing so of course he's working on the electrical. What harm could there be? Dad is beginning to warm to Se Yoon. Just as long as those electrical wires don't warm to him.

Choon Hee asks her sister-in-law (Aunt with Pink Lipstick) for Clingy Mom's address. She goes there with the intent of talking about Chae Won and Se Yoon but Clingy Mom is so shocked and dismayed that her old orphanage friend knows where she lives that she has Choon Hee thrown own immediately before anything gets said.

After a hard day of actual physical work, something he's not used to, Se Yoon drops by the noodle house to complain about his aches and pains to Chae Won.  She goes to take some herbal medicine to Grandpa only to find him lying unconscious on the floor. The young people rush Grandpa to the hospital for treatment. DramaDoctors have absolutely no bedside manner and so this one simply blurts out that Gramps has pancreatic cancer.

Grandpa insists he's fine now and wants to go home. He asks Chae Won to keep his condition a secret from the rest of the family. (Choon Hee is the only other one who knows how ill he is.) Grandpa isn't afraid to die, he just worries that the family business of three generations will come to an end when he does. Hint hint, Chae Won. Time to take over the noodle factory.

Joo Ri is hobbling around on one crutch. I keep expecting her to swallow a magic stone and turn into Darna. Clingy Mom has invited Joo Ri to a birthday dinner for Miracle Dad and Joo Ri wants her own mother to go along with her.

Clingy Mom is agonizing over how Choon Hee learned where she lives. Since she never gave Choon Hee a chance to say anything, Clingy Mom worries that perhaps the dying nun told Choon Hee something and that's why the other woman suddenly showed up. Se Yoon stops by to check on his mother and she reminds him of the birthday dinner. She doesn't mention anything about inviting Joo Ri to attend.

Chae Won is saying goodbye to the kitchen bitches. She's decided to quit her job and learn the noodle business from Grandpa while she can. Joo Ri, listening in as always, breathes a sigh of relief.

As Chae Won is leaving the building, Se Yoon runs out to stop her. Here I'm a little bit confused. He tells her his father was so impressed with the success of Chae Won's noodle project that Miracle Dad asked for him to bring her along to the birthday dinner tonight. Did Dad really say that or is Se Yoon making this up to get her to come along with him?

At the restaurant Joo Ri and EMIL are the first guests to arrive. Miracle Dad thanks them for coming since things have been so strained between their two families lately. Then Se Yoon and Chae Won walk into the room. See, this is why I think Se Yoon lied. Dad has this "What's she doing here" look on his face, so I don't believe he did ask for Chae Won to come to the dinner. Everyone else of course has the "What's she doing here" look as well. EMIL is so upset she jumps to her feet and runs over to give Se Yoon a rather impressive right hook upside the head.

At least she keeps both earrings on this time.

LEX Episode 6

It's the morning after and now Mario (who really needs some manscaping) and Silvia must face the music. He's worried she'll sue him. She's worried he'll fire her. They decide to just forget this ever happened.

Mario comes home and tries to act like he's been there all night and is just getting up. Eli isn't fooled a bit and tells him she knows he was with Silvia. Dude, put your pants back on. One, because you shouldn't be standing there in your underwear in front of your sister and two, well, I just don't need to be seeing you in your underwear.

The firm has taken on the Praying Mantis case. A woman has had three lovers die on her. Gonzalo recognizes the woman's name, Rocio, as a girl they went to law school with. As the guys remember her, she had a mustache and spots all over her face. Of course when she shows up at the office now she's a knockout thanks to plastic surgery. Also, as per the wardrobe rule on the show, everything she wears is tight and barely contain her breasts.

Dani, still confused over her entire situation, loses control momentarily and kisses Mario.

Gonzalo is concerned about the firm's drop in rankings. What they need is a high profile case with lots of media coverage. What luck, here's one now. A young man, Gustavo, has been arrested for growing medical marijuana. His defense is his mother is a cancer patient who is suffering from the chemotherapy. He was growing the weed for her and she gave some of it to the other cancer patients she knows.

Gema (per the wardrobe rule on the show wears nothing but tank tops and tight jeans) comes to Dani with a problem. She was working on a case for the firm concerning the illegal doings of a plastic surgery clinic. She snuck in after hours to hack into the clinic's computers. (I don't care what you say, Grammar Police, I'm using the word "snuck") As she was leaving, Gema saw her way was blocked by a cleaning guy.

Suddenly she realized the man was being electrocuted by his faulty vacuum cleaner. Literally leaping into action, Gema body tackled the man, Manuel, to break the contact with the vacuum. He's very thankful. As she picks her purse up, Gema doesn't notice that her wallet with her ID has fallen out.

A few days later Manuel comes to the office to return the wallet. Gema is surprised to see him wearing a neck brace and walking with crutches. He claims he was severely injured by her and is threatening to sue unless she pays him 30,000 Euros.

Rocio meets with Mario and Gonzalo. Both men are drooling over her but Gonzalo is really drooling over her. Rocio explains the men all died because she's so great at sex. The autopsies also show all the men had taken Viagra which may have brought on heart attacks. Rocio says she also uses Viagra as it helps women have mind blowing orgasms. Gonzalo is pitching a tent.

Mario goes to talk to Dani about the kiss earlier. Dani is still confused about things but does admit she's still in love with him. He hopes they can get back together. She asks if he's been with anyone else since they broke up. After a pause Mario lies through his teeth and says no. So you know that's going to come back and bite him in a future episode.

Gema finds Manuel likes to talk dirty in porn chatrooms. She arranges for him to meet with "Lonely Lolita" which will be Dani.

Rocio and her lawyers along with the D.A. meet in the judge's chambers. The judge can't stop peeking at her chest which may explain why he ultimately decides there isn't enough evidence to charge her with anything.

Dani/Lonely Lolita is supposed to meet with Manuel at the bar. Gema will be secretly taping all this in hopes he'll reveal what a scam artist he is. David is already at the bar having a drink and thinks to hang out with Dani. She shoos him away as Manuel hobbles in on his crutches. David isn't too far away as he overhears Manuel being very crude and thinks to come to Dani's defense. The two men start shoving each other which leads to Manuel ditching his crutches and getting into an all-out bar fight.

Blah blah blah Mario makes a moving closing statement and Gustavo just gets six months of community service blah blah blah.

Gema is able to blow off Manuel since she has the video tape to prove he's a fake.

Rocio is saying goodbye to her lawyers when the police come up to arrest her. The D.A. has found more evidence that her last lover left Rocio everything in his will although she had said they had just met. Mario and Gonzalo promise to defend her.

Dani has a miscarriage.

I Summon You, Gold Episode 6

Yoon Shim Duk and her husband are still awkward around each other after the big fight from last episode but they're willing to work together to seek a loan, perhaps even going so far as to sell the house. All to keep up with the Joneses. Tsk tsk.

Hyun Tae tries to smooth things out between his mother and Big Daddy. The cameraman is up in the rafters again. Why are you up there? Young Ae is putting on her woeful act since she has to go to her son's wedding as just another guest and not be publicly acknowledged as his mother. Big Daddy isn't sympathetic at all. Young Ae tries to give him back the $300,000 he gave her to give to Shim Duk. He tells her she can keep it which accomplishes a miracle cure of her woes. (300k would certainly cure my woes.)

Mong Hee comes home and tells her parents not to worry about getting a loan as she can get $100,000 with no interest, claiming the money comes from a vendor she knows. The next day Hyun Soo delivers the money as promised. Her work starts this evening as they dine with his family.

She shows up at his palatial home driving her bright pink truck. Won't anyone notice this tacky thing outside his mansion? After seeing a picture of Yoo Na and how much they really do look alike, Mong Hee tells Hyun Soo that she did ask her mother if she was adopted and the answer was no. (Hmm, what if Mong Hee's parents were so poor at the time they couldn't afford two babies at once and so let one of them go?)

Mong Hee gets dolled up in her Yoo Na costume. On the car ride over to the restaurant Hyun Soo gives her a crash course in how to act like his wife. Perhaps he should have made more time for these important lessons. Before they arrive, Seongeun receives a call from work about some trouble so she leaves the dinner party before Mong Hee can see and perhaps recognize her. That story is for a later episode.

Mong Hee hits some rough patches in her impersonation, especially when the family is served escargot for their appetizers. They do look disgusting. The conversation turns to the recent funeral and the others start making fun of Hyun Tae's mother and her hat. I didn't see anything wrong with her hat. If they need to talk about her talk about how she made an ass of herself and had to be ejected from the funeral  home. Hyun Tae sits there in silent suffering until Mong Hee brings attention to herself by acting like Mong Hee. She tries to eat one of the snails but (just as I probably would) she finds it revolting and spits it back out.

The dinner over with, Hyun Soo is driving Mong Hee home. She won't cease her endless chattering so he pulls the car over to give her a chewing out. Mong Hee gives as good as she gets. If he's always an ass like now no wonder his wife ran off. She throws his money back at him. Deal is off!

Monghyun goes on a date with Hyun Tae to that lame disco where all DramaKoreans seem to go. She sits alone as he goes off to dance with his girlfriend. This calls for a punch, Monghyun. Either her or him. Don't be a doormat. But she just leaves and there goes any respect I may have had for her character. I bet Mong Hee would have thrown some punches.

(Hyun Tae must have the same costume designer as Chul Goo of A Hundred Year's Inheritance. Look at that jacket. It's part camouflage, part leopard skin and all ugly. What else can you expect from a guy who wears a giant flower on his chest.)

Big Daddy is caught between a rock (Duk Hee) and a hard place (Young Ae) as he tries to satisfy both women with this upcoming wedding.

Tensions come to a boiling point between Hyun Tae and Hyun Joon. They're caught by Big Daddy before any blows are exchanged. Hyun Tae is quick with the "Hyun Joon said this and Hyun Joon said that," making Big Daddy take the side of his youngest son. Defending her son, Duk Hee counterattacks with "Hyun Tae did this and Hyun Tae did that," swaying Big Daddy over to Hyun Joon's side.

Mong Hee returns to Hyun Soo's place to retrieve her clothes. She stubs her toe and he insists on looking at her stinking foot to see if it is alright. Mong Hee struggles to pull her foot out of his grasp and ends up accidentally kicking him in the face.

Show, you really need to work on your cliffhangers.

I Summon You, Gold Episode 5

For the first time probably in his entire life Hyun Soo gets praise from his father as Big Daddy lauds Yoo Na's behavior at Grandma's funeral and credits Hyun Soo for her transformation. (Hyun Tae, honey, you need to take that girly sweater off. Men don't wear sweaters with great big roses on their chests.) But then Big Daddy goes a little too far when he suggests they throw a party to show everyone the fact that Yoo Na isn't the bitch they all think she is. (Say what you will, I miss Yoo Na. Where'd she go?)

Hyun Soo is wondering that himself as he interrogates a friend of his wife's (Yoo Na has friends??) to see if she knows anything. That friend sure is acting fishy. I bet she does know where Yoo Na is but she's not saying.

Young Ae is thinking back to an earlier fight she had with her son. She was offering to, well, basically buy Hyun Tae a better wife than Monghyun. I hope she also offered to buy a better sweater for him. In frustration Hyun Tae smashes a glass, cutting his hand to ribbons, and threatens to kill himself if Young Ae continues to embarrass him as she's been doing.

Young Ae breaks down and agrees to allow the marriage. Duk Hee wants to hurry things along and get the kids married by the end of the summer.

Hyun Soo attempts to tell his father the truth about Yoo Na but Big Daddy starts in again with the praise for how Hyun Soo whipped his wife into shape. That's shows the kind of work and initiative it takes to run the family company. Perhaps Big Daddy should start giving Hyun Soo more responsibility at work. Of course this stops the truth telling on Hyun Soo's part as all this is just what he wanted to hear from dear old Dad. Hyun Joon, wearing a little bit too much lipstick, does not like the direction things are going in.

Mong Hee's mother is starting to get a little bit of a big head now that Monghyun is marrying up. Mong Hee is still stuffing her face. How does Han Ji Hye not get fat from all her eating scenes?

Manager Yoon's big head follows her to the workplace. Good thing Young Ae is there to deflate her a bit. Young Ae gives Shim Duk a sizable amount of money to be used to buy the wedding gifts as Young Ae doesn't think Yoon's family has the ability to buy gifts worthy of the occasion.

After talking it over with the family, who advise to not use the money or they'll never hear the end of it from the other side, Shim Duk tries to return the check. Young Ae mentions how expensive the marital gifts could be. (A $20,000 blanket?! A $100,000 ring for the mother-in-law?! People of Korea, don't get married. You can't afford it. Live in sin.) There's that clown music again. Anyway, Young Ae pushes Shim Duk to take the money and use it because she doesn't want her son (or herself) to be embarrassed by the gifts bought by his wife's family. Shim Duk still has her pride and refuses the money, which pisses Young Ae off.

At another meeting, Seongeun asks Shim Duk to spend a mere $200,000 on marital gifts as Seongeun, being the second daughter-in-law, doesn't want to be shown up by the third daughter-in-law.

Hyun Soo returns to bug Mong Hee. He invites her out to lunch so she can once again stuff her face. I swear, instead of I Summon You, Gold this show should have been titled I Summon You, Food. I will say that's a lovely view outside the restaurant window. Hyun Soo softens Mong Hee up a bit at first by telling her how Big Daddy is treating him oh so much better lately thanks to her performance at the funeral. Then he goes in for the kill: will she pretend to be his wife one last time? Mong Hee says nein, nyet, nada, and other words that means nuh-uh. Hyun Soo then speaks for us all as he asks her to please not speak with her mouth full.

Under orders from his father, Hyun Joon invites his baby brother out for a drink so they can play nice together. It doesn't last long, ending with Hyun Tae tearing up the money Hyun Joon gave him to pay for the honeymoon.

Going over the family's finances, Shim Duk finds they can scrape together only $50,000. The shame. Shim Duk talks about mortgaging the house. Money matters lead to a loud fight between her and her husband. For once we get a very real scene about very real problems.

With this dark financial cloud hanging over her family, Mong Hee reaches out to Hyun Soo. She wants to work out a contract between them. She'll agree to pretend to be Yoo Na for at least a year and a half if he'll pay her $100,000 up front. Hyun Soo agrees but there is one condition: Mong Hee must truly transform into his wife. No more talking with her mouth full or dressing sloppy or acting like a buffoon, etc. She must be Yoo Na.

A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 32

As Chae Won tries to wrestle the sleeping pills away from Chul Goo, a whole bunch of people start piling into the hotel room, including a cop who says he's here to arrest the couple for adultery. I still want to know if you can be arrested for that in Korea or if this is just DramaLand law. Chae Won starts explaining the whole situation but Chul Goo is of no help whatsoever. He realizes if he's charged with adultery then he's automatically divorced from Crazy Wife so he's like, "Yeah, I'm guilty. Guilty as hell!" Again, is this really legal in Korea?

Chul Goo is so anxious to be arrested he sticks out his hands and demands to be handcuffed. Say, what happened to all those pills you were clutching just a second ago? Yet as the cops take Chul Goo and Chae Won down to the station, Hong Joo begins to doubt what happened happened.

Clingy Mom and Miracle Dad (because he was cured so quickly and completely of his stomach cancer) are out with friends having dinner. Miracle Dad says he's stopped drinking, yet there's a glass of red wine right there in front of him. Just what is your idea of stopped drinking, Miracle Dad? The other couple ask if the rumors about Se Yoon are true. Clingy Mom insists her son's engagement has merely been postponed, not broken off.

The thought that her son is being talked about so upsets Clingy Mom that she has to excuse herself from the table. She goes out into the lobby to talk aloud to herself and that's when we the audience learn just where she and the others are eating - the restaurant in the hotel where Chul Goo and company are now being escorted out of. Clingy Mom sees a distraught EMIL crying after her son as she arrives on the scene. She also notices Chae Won is in the thick of things whatever is going on. EMIL is none too quiet as she loudly denies her son wasn't committing adultery with his ex-wife, which of course Clingy Mom is going to hear.

Down at the police station, Chul Goo swears he and Chae Won have been carrying on a torrid affair for months now. Chae Won looks like she could kill him. Then we'd have a murder, the only thing lacking in this show so far.

Clingy Mom and husband return home to yell at their son for embarrassing them with the broken engagement. Clingy Mom just can't wait to tell Se Yoon about Chae Won being arrested for adultery.

After being released from custody, Chae Won slaps Chul Goo, and it's about damn time! She tells him she's sorry now she bothered to save his life and should have let him just go ahead and kill himself. Oh man! Chul Goo, still not getting it, tries to hug her which is when Se Yoon drives up. He jumps out of his car and slugs Chul Goo. Chul Goo tries to come back at him. With one arm around Chae Won, Se Yoon uses the other hand to catch Chul Goo's wrist and wrap it behind his back. Smooth.

Se Yoon puts Chae Won in his car and they drive off. Unlike last time, at least now Se Yoon gives her the chance to explain what happened. Chae Won asks how he even knew she was at the police station and is mortified when he tells her his mother witnessed the scene at the hotel. Se Yoon tries to put her at ease by telling her he spoke to the company lawyer and they should be able to get Chae Won out of this trouble.

When they arrive at the noodle house, Choon Hee thinks they've just been on a late date, which neither denies since they want to hide the truth. She invites Se Yoon in for some tea, his first time inside the noodle house. He makes his formal bows to the grandparents. The whole family is impressed with him, especially after the one uncle identifies Se Yoon as the son of the company president.

Choon Hee is in the kitchen with the aunts and only now learns that Se Yoon is the son of her old friend, Clingy Mom. The aunt with the pink lipstick still warns that Clingy Mom will not accept Chae Won and be even worse than EMIL.

As Chae Won escorts Se Yoon out to the gate, she argues with him that he went too far tonight. She never agreed to date him so he shouldn't have acted like a potential boyfriend to her family. Se Yoon just smiles and replies he's not giving up on her. Sooner or later she'll come around.

When she comes back inside, Chae Won overhears her father confiding in his wife that he's not sure about this whole thing. He worries that Chae Won is potentially getting into the same mess she had with her first husband and his mother. Choon Hee admits she's also got reservations when it comes to Clingy Mom. So naturally Chae Won has some thinking to do.

Clingy Mom is not happy to learn her precious baby has been out cavorting with a divorced woman. Seems Korea is still back in the 19th Century when it comes to attitudes towards divorced adults.

The next morning Chul Goo awakens to find his wife snuggled up with him in bed. He screams like a banshee! What's she doing in his bed since they were divorced last night? Hong Joo admits she overreacted last night and she doesn't want a divorce. Since she's still his wife, Hong Joo sets to work straightening him out. She tells him to accept that fact that Chae Won is not coming back to him and he'd better stop drinking.

Later that day Chul Goo is in his office (which I've just now noticed looks like a set from the Mike Douglas Show) when EMIL and Hong Joo, now acting all chummy, drop in for a visit. They've just come back from the police station where Hong Joo had all charges dropped so the divorce is canceled.

Chae Won is over in her office when she has her own visitor. Oh no, it's Clingy Mom! She gets right to the point - no way in hell are you going to be with my boy. Also, Clingy Mom has arranged for someone from Human Resources to be coming to see Chae Won soon. This can't be good.

That evening Chae Won is preparing her resignation letter. Se Yoon comes waltzing in as he usually does so she quickly hides the letter. He's come to reassure Chae Won that all the charges made against her have been dropped. As a thank you he orders her to make him something to eat. It all started to look good to me until she mentioned the squid. Not a big fan of squid.

Chul Goo returns to the police station to beg with all his might to be charged with adultery.

Both Choon Hee and Clingy Mom receive late night calls from the orphanage. The director is fading fast so if they want to see her one last time they'd better hurry.

Se Yoon returns to Chae Won's office only to find her desk cleaned off and her resignation letter left behind. He jumps into his car and chases after her bus. While a sad song plays, flashbacks remind me how Se Yoon had a really bad haircut at the beginning of this show.

As Chae Won gets off at her bus stop, she's surprised to see Se Yoon arrive. In front of her he tears up her resignation letter. And litters! Se Yoon, give a hoot, don't pollute. Finally he makes his move and plants one on Chae Won's lips. At first she doesn't look too into the kiss but in the next shot she's grabbing his butt. I swear to you, that's where her hands are.

Thirty-two episodes and only now are we getting to the first kiss. Is this the slowest romance in Kdrama history?

Choon Hee is the first one to the bedside of the orphanage director. Do nuns wear their habits when they're on their death beds? This one does. Clingy Mom comes in next and is distraught to see Choon Hee back here in Korea. Choon Hee reminds her they can talk later, right now they've got a dying nun to cry over. Only the nun doesn't want Clingy Mom. She gasps for breath as she harshly orders Clingy Mom to get out and calls her a thief.

Hmm, what could she have stolen. A baby, perhaps? Hmm.

I Summon You, Gold Episode 4

Hyun Soo pulls Mong Hee outside to yell at her for not acting like his wife, although other viewers have pointed out he never took much time in training Mong Hee on how Yoo Na acts so why did he expect instant perfection? If I were Mong Hee I would have just left his ass in a lurch and walked off. But of course she doesn't.

During the funeral Mong Hee starts thinking about grandmothers in general. She begins to cry - long and loud. Hyun Soo finally has to come up with an excuse to get his "wife" to go home and get some rest.

Young Ae is wanting to go to the funeral (and probably make another scene) but Hyun Tae tries to talk her out of it. Goodness, the cameraman is all over the place in this one scene. Now he's up in the rafters! Get down from there. When Hyun Tae reveals how crappy the family treats him up at the big house, Young Ae is more determined than ever to go to the funeral home and step on everybody's toes.

Circus music plays, because when you think of funerals you think of circus music. Young Ae falls before the picture of Grandma and wails like a professional mourner, making everyone look. Big Daddy tries to get her to leave. Young Ae threatens to be even worse unless they cancel the blind date Hyun Tae is supposed to go on with Monghyun.

As they're trying to drag Young Ae out, things aren't made any better when Shim Duk and Monghyun (at the invitation of Duk Hee) show up at the funeral. This gets Young Ae's ire up. As revenge she goes over and slaps Hyun Joon, who in all fairness was just standing there and not doing anything to warrant a slap. The shame of it all makes Big Daddy fall to the floor.

After seeing all this drama, Shim Duk begins to have second thoughts about allowing her daughter to marry into this crazy family.

It's a new day and a new hat for Mong Hee. This one has ears. Hyun Soo stops by her truck to give her a gift. He saw her sketch book of jewelry designs and he's brought her one from his company. Only now does Mong Hee learn that Hyun Soo is the son of her mother's boss. She quickly runs Hyun Soo off although she keeps the book.

Big Daddy and Manager Yoon are having a cup of tea together. He's worried that after the messy scene at the funeral home that she'll change her mind about the kids getting married. He still wants the marriage to go through. I sure hope Big Daddy isn't flirting with Mong Hee's mom. That would be icky.

Duk Hee goes to Young Ae's apartment - whoa, someone pick the cameraman up. He's tilting. Anyway, Duk Hee slaps Young Ae. I guess it's tit for tat. Young Ae hits her back with a pillow. C'mon, ladies. If we're going to have a cat fight at least try to do it right.

Monghyun and Hyun Tae have their blind date at the restaurant where they have all the pictures of American First Ladies. I've seen this room before in other dramas so it must be a real place. He's in a hurry and just wants to get married and get this over with. She won't marry him until she gets his mother's approval. Hyun Tae warns her it's Duk Hee she should be more worried about, not his biological mother.

Monghyun asks him what he wants to do. Does he want to marry her or what? Hyun Tae coldly replies he already has a woman he's in love with and he plans to continue to see her even after he gets married. Can Monghyun handle it?

Mong Hee is stuffing her face yet again when her sister stops by the truck for a visit. Monghyun doesn't want to get into details of how disastrous and short her blind date was. The sisters reminisce about Mong Hee having to drop out of art school to help support the family. This makes Monghyun think about their woeful middle-class lives. It's just terrible how they have a roof over their heads and heat during the winter. Terrible, I say.

Monghyun tells her parents its all a go and she will marry Hyun Tae.

After a hard day of stuffing her face, Mong Hee comes home to stuff her face some more. As she and her mother are talking, Mong Hee brings up the question of whether she's adopted or not. (Earlier Hyun Soo asked if she was, since his missing wife is adopted. He wondered if perhaps they're twins who were separated at birth.) Shim Duk says no but she's got that startled look in her eyes.

A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 31

Will no one teach Stupid Girl how to unlock her own car door?

As Joo Ri drives off with Chae Won, Se Yoon grabs a taxi and gets to utter that immortal Hollywood line: Follow that car! Only now does Chae Won begin to understand that Joo Ri ain't all there in the head. Se Yoon calls Joo Ri's cellphone and asks her to pull over so they can calmly talk things over. She replies she'll only pull over if he says he's engaged to her again. (Look, Se Yoon, at this point just say yes. Get her to stop, then you can say Hell No after you've gotten Chae Won out of the car.) Naturally he doesn't listen to me. You'll never have a career has a hostage negotiator, Se Yoon.

The two women fight over control of the wheel, the car veering wildly all over the road. I wonder what the taxi driver is thinking of all this. Se Yoon (with the funniest look of horror on his face) thinks he's about to see history repeated as the car starts heading towards a light pole. Wait, I cry foul! From one angle of the shot the car is just barely touching the pole. But when Se Yoon runs over, suddenly the front is all crumpled and the engine is smoking.

Se Yoon opens the car door (I thought it was locked) and starts shaking the unconscious Chae Won, because that's what you do with someone who's just been in a car accident. Shake 'em like a Polaroid picture! I cry foul again as Joo Ri is shown with her seatbelt on when just the scene before she didn't. Coming to, Joo Ri watches with heartbreak as Se Yoon pays absolutely no attention to her while he pulls Chae Won out of the car. Because that's another thing you do with someone who's just been in a car accident. Who needs EMS?

EMIL and Chul Goo are both shocked to see a happy Hong Joo wearing an apron and preparing dinner. Who are you and what have you done with Crazy Wife? As they sit down to eat the dinner, EMIL gets the call that her daughter is in the hospital. They go running to the hospital where Joo Ri and Chae Won are in beds beside of each other. While EMIL hovers over her daughter, Chul Goo runs over to annoy Chae Won. Is that a Batman pin on his coat?

Se Yoon walks over, not even giving a glance to Joo Ri. His eyes are on Chul Goo with that "Whatchu doin' with my woman?" look. The doctor joins the crazy crowd to announce the results. Chae Won just has some bumps and bruises so she'll be released soon. Joo Ri has an injured ankle and some other symptoms so she'll be kept in the hospital for observation.

Se Yoon and Chul Goo go outside for a man-to-man talk. It actually starts out pretty calm as Se Yoon explains how the accident happened. But as Chul Goo keeps saying "My Chae Won" Se Yoon gets a little annoyed and tells him to stop it. Chae Won's going to be his woman and Chul Goo better back off.

Chae Won's dad wonders why his daughter isn't home yet and isn't answering her phone. Smart gal Choon Hee immediately suspects EMIL and Joo Ri may have done something. Just then Se Yoon calls from the hospital to let her family know what happened.

Dad and Choon Hee rush right over. When they see the guy who's with Chae Won, Choon Hee and Se Yoon both have a What are you going here? moment. Choon Hee wonders aloud why she and Se Yoon seem to keep running into each other. (It's because you're secretly related, that's why. One of these days we'll get to that.)

Joo Ri has been moved up to a room. Surely I'm not the only one who notices that when Joo Ri declares she has no reason to live anymore that EMIL is smacking the leg that's supposed to be injured. Chul Goo doesn't have time to worry over his crazy sister. He runs down to the lobby just as Dad and Choon Hee are helping Chae Won out. Dad is not pleased to see his ex-SIL.

Chae Won doesn't want to tell her family just how the accident happened as she doesn't want to worry them overmuch. Smart gal Choon Hee has already figured out that the accident had something to do with Joo Ri and Se Yoon. Gosh, I love you, Choon Hee. Maybe you can teach Chae Won how to unlock her car door next time she's kidnapped.

Back home, an upset Chul Goo turns to his old friend Jack Daniels for comfort. Hong Joo comes in and pulls the bottle out of his grip. Chul Goo (wearing those multi-colored jammey pants again) jumps up on the dining table and begs Hong Joo to give up on their marriage and go back to her own home. Hong Joo refuses. (Psst, Hong Joo. The bottle is right there next to your hand. Pick it up and slam it over your husband's head. Go on, do it. Do it!)

The next morning, with no ill aftereffects whatsoever, Chae Won plans to go into work. Se Yoon comes to pick her up in his car. Not the one that was wrecked last night but a different one. Choon Hee is all, "Get in the car, girl," as she invites Se Yoon over for dinner some night. Choon Hee wastes no time. Part of the reason I love her.

Chul Goo, wearing yet another odd jacket (what are the straps for?), is waiting to  ambush his ex outside of her workplace but has to hide when he sees she's with Se Yoon. Chae Won has barely gotten into her office when Chul Goo comes barging in. He can't believe she's been fooling around behind his back. Chae Won (for the umpteenth time) reminds Chul Goo that they're no longer married so it's none of his effin' business who she fools around with.

Clingy Mom stops by the hospital to visit with Joo Ri. EMIL isn't pleased by her appearance nor by the fact that Se Yoon wasn't the one who told Clingy Mom about the accident. EMIL puts her own spin on the story, having Chae Won look like it was all her fault. She warns Clingy Mom to keep an eye on her son lest he fall under the spell of Chae Won. As Clingy Mom is starting to leave the hospital she catches sight of Choon Hee. Clingy Mom is now Panicky Mom.

Ah, I wondered why Choon Hee was at the hospital. She's here to see Joo Ri and EMIL. She lays down the law, warning the two crazies they'd better never mess with Chae Won again or they'll have to deal with Choon Hee. <3 <3 <3 To rub salt in the would, Choon Hee tells Joo Ri how Se Yoon came this morning to pick Chae Won up for work. That ship has sailed so Joo Ri might as well move on with her life.

Se Yoon takes Chae Won for a walk down Pollen Alley. My allergies are acting up just looking at this. Since they were interrupted last night, Se Yoon didn't get a chance to make his grand declaration so he's doing it now. But what's this? Chae Won turns him down. While he's ready to love again, she's not at that place yet. Se Yoon is okay with it. He'll wait until she gets there. Chae Won tells him not to wait. Her marriage beat her down so bad she doesn't believe she's a person worthy to be loved. Aw man, it's sad but true how women from abusive relationships really do think like this.

Hong Joo didn't sleep well last night so she takes a sleeping pill. The cameraman makes sure we keep seeing that bottle of pills on the nightstand. That night, after a day of brooding on things, Chul Goo packs his suitcase. He sees the bottle of pills and picks it up, leaving his wedding ring on the table in exchange. Is he going to go kill himself? Hong Joo (and Coco) certainly are worried that he is when she notices the pills, along with her husband, are gone.

Hong Joo calls EMIL to update her on what's happening. If she wasn't such a bitch one could almost feel sorry for all the stress EMIL is under right now. She's got one kid in the hospital and another kid who may be off committing suicide. EMIL calls Chae Won in hopes she's seen Chul Goo. She hasn't but now Chae Won knows her ex is in the potential state of mind to be suicidal.

Right after she hangs up with her ex-MIL, Chae Won does get a call from Chul Goo. He wanted to hear her voice one last time before he killed himself in a hotel room. Chae Won tries to get him to wait until they can talk things out. Chul Goo tells her where he's at but insists she must come alone.

Hong Joo gets a call from Sour Puss. I guess it does pay off to have someone constantly following your SIL around as Sour Puss knows where Chul Goo has gone to.

Chae Won pleads with Chul Goo to give her the pills. He says only if Chae Won breaks up with Se Yoon and comes back to him. When Chae Won says no, Chul Goo starts to gulp the pills in his hand. Suddenly there's a man at the door claiming to be room service. Chul Goo yells back that he never ordered room service. Chae Won seizes the moment to jump at Chul Goo and try to get the pills out of his hand. They both end up struggling on the bed.

The door opens and several people come in, including the cameraman who's been following Chul Goo around. Sour Puss and Hong Joo are there as well. Another man pulls out a badge and claims to be there to arrest Chul Goo and Chae Won for committing adultry.

Can you be arrested for that in Korea?

Wait, that voice sounds familiar. Is the guy playing the cop Nanseung of the No Longer Great Hair from The King's Dream?
