A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 20

Chae Won refuses to quit her job and shoves the money back at EMIL before stomping back inside the office building. Clingy Mom asks what is going on. EMIL works up some quick tears (gotta give her credit for that) and weaves her magic. She basically gives the truth but with a little spin to it. In her story Chae Won is an absolute bitch. Joo Ri didn't feel comfortable working in the same building as her former sister-in-law so EMIL was trying to nicely ask Chae Won to move to another company, only Chae Won wanted an astronomical amount of money to do it. So now Clingy Mom has a bad opinion of Chae Won.

Chae Won is back in her office when Joo Ri once again storms in to ask why she didn't take the money. Chae Won says what I'm also thinking: Shouldn't you be in your own office? Don't you have work to do?

After the onion peeling incident, the bitches in the kitchen accept Chae Won as one of their own. As the women are getting off of work and planning on where to go for dinner, Se Yoon overhears their plans and changes his own to eat at the same restaurant. Get ready for the "Girl gets drunk in public so Boy must see that she gets home safely" scenario.

Chul Goo is in his bedroom playing Rubick's cube while his giant teddy bear watches. He thinks back to Hong Ju Ma begging him to help her get away from her family. I don't know what to make of that woman yet so I have mixed feelings about this story. Is it true, or is she playing him?

The kitchen bitches leave an extremely inebriated Chae Won behind. Not to worry as Se Yoon is there to get her home.

The next morning Joo Ri walks into Se Yoon's office to give him his morning coffee only he's not there. What is there is a thermos of soup from Chae Won with a note thanking him for getting her home last night. (DramaKoreans rarely have hangovers.) Joo Ri hides the soup and the note.

Se Yoon sees Chae Won down in the cafeteria and gently scolds her for not thanking him for getting her home. She tells him she left him some soup, didn't he see it on his desk? And its quickly forgotten. Chae Won keeps asking if she did anything embarrassing when she was drunk. Se Yoon just laughs.

Joo Ri seethes as she watches the two together.

EMIL meets with Hong Ju Ma's mother about the wedding. Other Mother explains why she's in a bit of a hurry. The patriarch of the wealthy family is in pretty poor health. If Ju Ma doesn't marry before he kicks the bucket, by tradition she'll have to wait three years for her mourning to end before she can tie the knot.

While the elders talk, Chul Goo and Ju Ma are outside taking a walk. Chul Goo lets slip that maybe, just maybe, he'll marry her. First he wants to talk with his ex. I'll give him credit that at least this time he behaves himself. No crazy eyes and kidnapping - just talk. He tearfully asks for the last time if she'll give him another chance. Chae Won stays strong and firmly turns him down. He gives her one last hug goodbye and he walks away.

EMIL seems to be the only one happy about Chul Goo agreeing to marry Ju Ma. She's doing her little Dance of the Idiots. 

It's Pay Day! Se Yoon pushes Chae Won into buying him lunch but she's got a business meeting over at the Crystal Hotel. The same hotel where Chul Goo just happens to be getting married at.

EMIL drops in to see how the young (rich) bride is doing. She's all smiles until she sees the little poodle puppy Ju Ma is holding. EMIL obviously doesn't like dogs (although she's a bitch). The dog, Coco, escapes and Ju Mu goes looking for him. 

At the front door, Chul Goo is just arriving for his wedding when he sees Chae Won (in an extremely short skirt for a business meeting) also walking in. Oh no, don't tell me he thinks she's here to stop him from getting married and give him a second chance. To add to all this, Ju Ma (in her bridal gown) comes out looking for her dog. She sees Chul Goo and she sees that longing look in his eye he's giving that woman with the extremely short skirt.
