While there are lots of scenes with the other members of the cast, frankly they're boring. I'm just sticking with the Chae Won/nut house storyline.
Min Chae Won is screaming like a crazy person about how she's not a crazy person.
Useless husband Chul Goo is drinking and thinking back to when EMIL told him her plans to lock Chae Won up at least until after the shareholders meeting. For one brief moment Chul Goo has the decency to argue that you just don't do this to someone! Then he caves in like the momma's boy he is.
Se Yoon drinks salty coffee and reminisces about his dead girlfriend. They were going to get married although mom Baek Sul Joo was against it. The salt in the coffee to is show the audience that Se Yoon has lost his ability to taste since the accident. Not much of a dramatic illness, Show. I mean, so he can't taste. So what?
The next day Se Yoon leaves early to go visit an old friend who apparently works at the mental hospital where Chae Won is being held. The orderly is taking her down for an interview with a psychiatrist. They're walking through the hallway when she sees Se Yoon going into the men's room. She suddenly cries out that she really needs to go to the toilet and she dashes into the women's room. No one is in there but she comes back out to say all the stalls are full, she'll have to go in the men's room.
In the men's room, Chae Won tries to convince Se Yoon to help her but let's be honest - if you're in a mental hospital and someone in pajamas is saying "I'm not crazy!" you're not going to believe them. Neither does Se Yoon. Chae Won grabs his cell phone and tries to make a phone call but is stopped by the orderlies. They drag her screaming down the hallway.
A much calmer Chae Won is returned to her room. As a way of apologizing to the orderlies for her behavior, she invites them to stay for a cup of coffee. (Really? They have coffee makers in the rooms of mental patients? Really?) Chae Won has been hoarding the sleeping pills the nurse has been giving her and uses them to drug the drinks.
That evening Chae Won sees her chance and makes her break. (Those were some slow-acting sleeping pills.) She makes it outside and is chased in the rain by the second orderly who didn't drink the coffee. She slips and rolls down a steep hill, hitting her head on a rock along the way. She ends up in the middle of the road where she's found by Se Yoon who takes her to a medical hospital.
You'll never guess what happens next. You'll never guess!
She has amnesia.
Bet you never expected that from a Korean drama.
