When last we saw our much put-upon heroine she was suffering from amnesia and mistakenly thought Se Yoon was her husband.
Se Yoon calls the mental hospital to tell them about the crazy woman he found in the road. He goes out to his car, complaining about what a bad day it has been, when a hand reaches out and grabs him. Ahhh! Oh, it's Chae Won. She's getting pretty good at escaping hospitals. She cries and begs Se Yoon not to leave her behind. Exasperated, Se Yoon agrees to at least take her to the mental hospital himself. Guess neither one thinks it is important to notify the medical hospital that she's leaving.
As they're pulling away, a mysterious man calls EMIL to inform her of Chae Won taking off with an unknown man. Mystery Man offers to bring Chae Won back but EMIL instead orders him to just keep an eye on the two and see what develops. Something useful may come of this.
They arrive at the mental hospital. While she can't remember why, Chae Won has a definite reaction to the place. She can't go back in there! Se Yoon again relents and turns the car around.
EMIL has to deal with a phone call from Chae Won's dad who has been trying to get in contact with his daughter. EMIL tells him Chae Won went to Canada with her husband. Dad totally buys this story, never bothering to ask for contact information or anything.
Stuff happens to other people.
Se Yoon takes Chae Won to a buddy's house. They'll spend the night here and then contact the police in the morning. Conveniently the buddy and his family had to suddenly leave for Seoul, so it'll just be the two of them. He makes free with the absent wife's clothes and offers some to Chae Won, who has nothing but hospital jammies on. From the bushes out back, another mystery man takes pictures of the two and emails them to EMIL's phone. The evil wheels of her evil mind start to turn evilly.
The next day EMIL tells her son about Chae Won's amnesia as they're driving to the police station to pick her up. Chul Goo, for some odd and unbelievable reason, has made an abrupt about face and now declares he will never give up his beloved wife. They both run in and cry over Chae Won because she can't remember them. Se Yoon is watching this horrific overacting display and is quite skeptical of these two but he can't legally stop them from taking Chae Won back with them.
Chul Goo and EMIL have Chae Won's head examined (literally) and learn that the blow from the rock isn't necessarily the cause of her memory loss. More than likely it is stress induced, meaning there's a good chance she can recover her memory.
Hail Mary! Chul Goo has finally decided to cut the apron strings and move himself and Chae Won out of the house. EMIL throws a temper tantrum to end all temper tantrums. When that doesn't appear to work, EMIL changes tactics and becomes repentant, promising to be a better mother to Chae Won. Chul Goo, the goofball idiot, totally believes her.
Se Yoon takes the world's smallest bouquet to his dead girlfriend's grave. He doesn't realize he's being stalked by Joo Ri. She decides a charnal house is the perfect place to make her move on Se Yoon. But hey, it seems to work as he agrees to have dinner with her.
EMIL contacts Se Yoon and offers to take him out to lunch as a way of thanking him for taking such good care of her daughter-in-law. She brings Chae Won along with her, not revealing who they're meeting for lunch. When the two women get to the restaurant, their guest hasn't arrived yet. EMIL tells Chae Won to go ahead and sit at the table while she goes to the bathroom. She watches from the sidelines as Se Yoon arrives shortly afterwards and is shown to the private dining room.
Chae Won and Se Yoon sit alone for awhile and make awkward small talk. Chae Won is logically trying to figure out why she was at a mental hospital in the first place. Se Yoon isn't much help. He just wants to eat! EMIL sends excuses that she has to leave. Two fruit juices are served and Chae Won chugs hers down, then starts to have an allergic reaction. Se Yoon helps her to his car to rush her to the hospital while EMIL's hired photographer takes pictures of the duo.
