A Hundred Year's Inheritance (Abridged) Episode 6

Last time on The Adventures of Stupid Girl, Chae Won was oh so easily convinced that pre-amnesia she was having an affair with bland boy Se Yoon.

Chae Won dashes a glass of water in Se Yoon's face. I must say, he takes it pretty coolly. Myself, I would have been over that table and all up in her grill. Se Yoon then accuses her of faking her amnesia in some WTF gold digging plot to get money from men. Chae Won seems to be upset that he would break up with her just because she has amnesia. After all they meant to each other! At least according to EMIL.

Se Yoon asks the very, very, very valid question of why would she believe what EMIL says and not believe anything Se Yoon says. Chae Won won't stay long enough to hear his side. As she gets up to leave, Chae Won gives him the parting advice  to straighten up his life and stop having affairs with married women.

Stupid Girl, ladies and gentlemen. Stupid Girl.

Se Yoon finally gets some fire in him. He goes chasing her down before she gets very far, demanding that she stop and hear what he has to say. She accuses him of lying about her being a patient at the mental hospital as she learned for herself there were no records of her ever being admitted. Se Yoon knows that's not right as his buddy at the hospital saw her charts.

Meanwhile, EMIL and Chul Goo are celebrating his recent election to president of the company. Chul Goo again swears that he'll treat Chae Won so much better. EMIL, of course, thinks otherwise. Now that the important election is over, she sees no reason for Chul Goo and Chae Won's divorce to be put off any longer.

Se Yoon asks Joo Ri out to go get drunk. So romantic.

EMIL returns home to find Chae Won... Good Lord, what is she doing?!? She's got a bed comforter in the bath tub and she's stomping it with her bare feet (while wearing a dress). Anyway, Chae Won announces she'll tell her husband the "truth" about her affair and beg for his forgiveness, the way she's begging EMIL for her forgiveness.

Their conversation is interrupted when Chul Goo returns home bearing all sorts of celebratory gifts for his wife, including a pearl necklace. Mom, who didn't t get any gifts, looks like she's about to cough up her liver. Just as soon as he goes upstairs to change, EMIL tears the necklace from Chae Won's throat and reminds her what a cheating hussy she is. The housekeeper sees this little episode and tries to warn Chae Won that if she thinks this is bad, it was a whole lot worse back before the amnesia.

Se Yoon gets buzzed with Joo Ri and goes on and on about how great his dead girlfriend is. So romantic.

Joo Ri ends up taking the nearly passed out Se Yoon back to his house. So romantic.

EMIL orders Chae Won to sleep in the spare bedroom so there's no risk of an unexpected pregnancy.

The next day a hungover Se Yoon decides to tackle his problems head on by arranging another meeting with Chae Won but also with EMIL there as well. Se Yoon gets right to the point and tells EMIL that if she doesn't quit telling lies about him, he'll sue her for slander. (This is about the first time I've come to like Se Yoon. For this as well as him telling Chae Won to shut up and listen.) EMIL sticks with her story, though, that he and Chae Won were lovers. She pulls out the pictures she had taken of them and dares Se Yoon to sue her and make all this public.

(Viewers over at Viki wonder why Se Yoon doesn't simply produce proof that he was out of the country during the time EMIL claims the affair took place. The explanation is simple: the writers ain't that smart.)

Out in the parking lot, EMIL orders Chae Won to move back in with her family, then she leaves her ass there. Se Yoon comes out and tries to get Chae Won to sit down and clearly think about the whole situation. Doesn't she find it all odd? Silly man. Stupid Girl never stops to think things through.

Chul Goo comes home after work and his surprised to find his wife packing her bags. He's even more surprised when EMIL openly admits she's the one who ordered Chae Won to leave. Chul Goo... are those great big hearts all over his sweater? Anyway, he sees Mom is back to her evil ways and plans to simply move out with Chae Won. EMIL shows him the copies of the pictures of Chae Won and Se Yoon. Just how many copies did she have made? Chul Goo, conveniently forgetting all the times he was the one doing the cheating, has the nerve to be offended. EMIL thinks her plans have finally come to fruition and there will be a divorce. Doesn't she know the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry? Chul Goo refuses to give Chae Won a divorce because he doesn't want her to be free to be with Se Yoon.

Lawdy, it's gettin' deep in here.

Back at his office, and apparently well over his hangover, Se Yoon starts to figure the whole thing out. He gets back in contact with his buddy and asks him to get definite proof Chae Won has been a patient at the hospital. Hallelujah!

Chul Goo is getting scary drunk and threatening Chae Won. He angrily throws his glass against the wall. The only good thing about this is it causes Chae Won to have brief flashbacks to the last time he threw a glass at her and cut her neck.

Surely I'm not the only one who has noticed there is absolutely zero chemistry between Eugene and Lee Jung Jin.
