May Queen Episode 31

Il Mun tells Do Hyun not only is Hae Joo really Yoo Jin, but that Geum Hee had a DNA test done. Not knowing about the second test done by Jeong Woo, Il Mun assures his father that the test was falsified so Geum Hee supposedly doesn't know Hae Joo is her daughter.

Hearing that Hae Joo's presentation went down in flames, Geum Hee offers her the money to develop the drill.

Since Do Hyun has kicked Il Mun out for the whole embezzlement thing, he offers the job of president - temporarily, of course - to Chang Hee. Chang Hee is all I'm Not Worthy before giving in. All part of his plan.

Do Hyun has Gi Cheol meet him out in the middle of nowhere. I guess Do Hyun is worn out from his previous beating with Il Mun as he has Nameless Minion do most of the smack down on the gimp. Is it wrong that I enjoy seeing this jerk beaten up?  Do Hyun orders Gi Cheol to start digging his own grave. Aw, hell ya! After digging a pretty deep hole, Gi Cheol begs for his life. He claims that he did drop Yoo Jin into the sea and that Hong Chul  was probably out in his boat and rescued her. Do Hyun kicks the gimp into the grave and starts shoveling dirt in on him. This is the best scene ever! Gi Cheol finally breaks and starts singing like a bird about what really happened all those years ago. Do Hyun warns Gi Cheol that if Geum Hee ever finds out the truth (which she already has), then both Gi Cheol and Chang Hee will be brought out here together.

Geum Hee spills the beans to Bong Hee and talks her sister into resigning from Cheonji and working with Hae Joo. Oh, and Bong Hee (again) moves out of the big house and (again) in with Jeong Woo. I sure hope he has more than one bathroom in his house. He's got like eight people living there.

Hae Joo gets a message from Do Hyun to meet him at a restaurant. He attempts to offer her money to go study abroad. Did he really think she would take it?

The disgraced Il Mun returns home. As per Korean tradition, Geum Hee lays out a huge spread on the dining room table for him. Il Mun asks her to talk to his father about getting back into the company. Geum Hee refuses and - Holy hell, she swipes all the food off onto the floor, bitch slaps Il Mun and throws him out of the house! Second best scene ever.

It gets even better! Geum Hee calls Do Hyun home. When he sees the mess on the floor and Geum Hee's bloody hand, she makes it out like Il Mun attacked her. Oh, you're good, woman.

Unfortunately we have to leave this awesomeness and go back to boring drilling business with Kang San and Hae Joo. There's also an extended crying scene as Geum Hee takes Hae Joo out to her father's grave. Nothing important comes from this except that Hae Joo admits she's starting to develop feelings for San, but after Chang Hee she's afraid of being hurt again.

Do Hyun finds a airplane ticket stub in Geum Hee's bag. He asks her if she flew to Seoul and why. (Oh, I guess that's where Yoon Hak Soo is buried.) She lies and says she was meeting a friend. Do Hyun is suspicious and later orders Gi Cheol to follow Geum Hee. Gi Cheol spies Geum Hee eating at a restaurant with Hae Joo.

Kang San needs some industrial diamonds (who doesn't need industrial diamonds?) but doesn't have any more money so he's having to do a deal with Chang Hee.

Jeong Woo is building a case against Nameless Minion (Choi Wook Jin) concerning Grandpa Dae Pyung's death.

When Geum Hee comes home, Do Hyun starts asking her where she's been and who was she with. Knowing she's probably caught, Geum Hee answers honestly she was with Hae Joo, but then she spins the story that she was asking Hae Joo how Bong Hee is doing since moving in with Jeong Woo.

Kang San is supposed to be flying to the Philippines about those diamonds. Do Hyun instructs Nameless Minion to somehow make it that it's Hae Joo who goes instead - and never returns. Just in case, Do Hyun clarifies he doesn't mean murder. Just make it that Hae Joo is unable to come back into Korea.

Kang San gets a mysterious phone call from an anonymous source. If he wants to know more about his grandfather's death, San should come to meet the source at a junkyard. Alone, San wanders into a storage building where Nameless Minion #2 knocks him out, takes his cell phone, and locks him in.

Meanwhile, Nameless Minion #1 meets with Hae Joo. He says he's supposed to be flying to the Philippines with Kang San but San is nowhere to be found and time is running out. Knowing how important this meeting is, Hae Joo hesitantly agrees to go in San's stead.

Back at Cheonji, Chang Hee learns about the change in plans and how Nameless Minion and Hae Joo will be leaving the country together. Chang Hee leaps into action. He calls Hae Joo and warns her that once she and Nameless Minion get to the airport, she needs to run away as she's in terrible danger.
