Goodreads Choice Awards 2012

Once again the Goodreads readers have voted on the top books of the year.
Once again I've not read any of the winners.

Fiction: The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

Mystery: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Historical Fiction: The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

Fantasy: A Wind Through The Keyhole by Stephen King

Paranormal Fantasy (I though fantasy was paranormal?): Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. I couldn't get through the first book, A Discovery of Witches, so I know I won't be punishing myself with the second book.

Science Fiction: The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett & Stephen Baxter

Romance: Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James. Yes, believe it or not I am one of only two people on this entire planet who has not read any of the Fifty Shades books. Guess who the other person is.

Horror: The Twelve by Justin Cronin

Autobiography: Wild by Cheryl Strayed

Biography: Elizabeth the Queen by Sally Smith

Nonfiction: Quiet by Susan Cain

Humor: Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

Young Adult Fiction: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Young Adult Fantasy: Insurgent by Veronica Roth
