Hae Joo sees the picture of the bloody license plate. Chang Hee's solution is to grab her phone and slam it to the floor. He tries to drag her off to a plane but she refuses. Since he's acting all crazy and won't explain why, she's not going anywhere with him and walks out of the airport.
Chang Hee calls back to his father's cell phone knowing Do Hyun will answer. The bastard threatens to tell Hae Joo who killed her father if Chang Hee doesn't come back. As if that's not enough, Do Hyun lets Chang Hee hear how much pain his father is currently in from the most recent beating.
Chang Hee tries to catch up with Hae Joo but she's already gotten on the bus. He runs after it (another thing DramaKoreans like to do) when he's cut off by a couple of black cars. It's Do Hyun's goon squad, lead by Nameless Minion. He tells Chang Hee to come back with them, holding up his cell phone and showing a video of a bloody Gi Cheol lying on the floor. Oh, that's cold. Chang Hee manages to work in a couple of good kicks and punches but ultimately Nameless Minion brings him down and stuffs him into one of the cars. (Airport security seems to be out for lunch.)
Chang Hee is dragged back to bastard Do Hyun's office. Do Hyun once again brings up the spectre of turning Gi Cheol in for murder and telling Hae Joo just who is responsible for her beloved father's death. Reluctantly Chang Hee falls to his knees and apologizes for his misbehavior.
Grandpa Dae Pyung is determined to make a man out of Sang Tae. It's about time somebody did.
Hae Joo very quickly gets over things and goes back to Kang San for more boat talk.
A defeated Chang Hee returns home to a defeated Gi Cheol. Chang Hee announces his intentions of destroying Do Hyun by becoming an even bigger bastard than the old man. Gi Cheol sobs. To cut himself off from the past, Chang Hee burns all of Hae Joo's letters.
Hae Joo calls Chang Hee and asks to meet with him once more. This time he tries out his new bastard skills, breaking up with her again by saying she's too stupid and poor to be worthy of him and the only reason he dated her (for 15 friggin' years!) was because he felt pity for her.
Hae Joo is so heartbroken she makes herself sick. The family begs for her to take a day off but she insists on dragging herself to work. Dal Soon suspects this is all Chang Hee's fault and calls him. He tells her he broke up with Hae Joo just as Dal Soon wanted so she should never call him again. Dal Soon can't let it go. She gathers her clan and they march over to the big house.
Gi Cheol, quickly recovered from his beating, is outside washing a car when Dal Soon rams her head into his stomach. They're here for Chang Hee's blood so bring him out! Do Hyun and his kids come out and wonder what all the rumpus is about. An all-out brawl breaks out between the Hatfields and McCoys. Both Bong Hee and I find this greatly entertaining until the goon squad comes out and puts a stop to things.
Chang Hee meets with a couple of old men and blackmails them into not testifying against Il Mun. Prosecutor Yoon Jeong Woo is shocked to hear Chang Hee has turned to the Dark Side.
Young Joo, remembering what Il Mun said, asks Sang Tae if Hae Joo is adopted. He calls her nuts at first but then starts to wonder himself about his sister.
Hae Joo falls sick over at Kang San's place and he nurses her. While asleep she dreams of the accident that killed her father. When she wakes up she finally realizes the license plate she got a picture of was from the truck that hit Hong Chul. She goes to Jeong Woo to ask about her father's case, only to learn Chang Hee took all the relevant files with him. (I'm not sure that's totally legal in the real world but this is DramaLand.)
In Hwa runs into Chang Hee in a bar and jumps his case about breaking up with Hae Joo. He gives In Hwa one of his rough manly kisses, mainly to shut her up.
Suddenly we're in a hospital where Geum Hee is getting a check up. It's during her treatment that the doctor says all this medical stuff about her blood I don't understand. What it boils down to is with this new information Geum Hee thinks there now might be a chance Hae Joo is her lost daughter.
